  2. Thanks mate... gonna try this in a day or two. IN OTHER NEWS... my mechanic said : "The piston rings need to be changed and there exists a gap between the pistons and the block"... I guess this was the reason for all the trouble?
  3. Some more details into how i'll be doing this? just yank out the PCV and route a pipe to the catch can with a breather? or I can stick a hose and breather right into the PCV? Yep that is the plan... gonna do a complete flush with engine scrubber...
  4. In a recent development, my mechanic said that the oil pump is pumping out too much engine oil i.e the oil pressure is too high... ???
  5. When I first noticed it smoking, my thoughts were "headgasket" and thats when I opened it up a couple of months ago and yes, I replaced it. Well the head's open ... checking the valve stem seals today... regardless of the pcv condition, a new one is on the way... so lets see,,,
  6. Please bare with me.. i'm new to cars... learning from the internet. Ok will try the PCV test and the head's opened up will check the valve seals. My mechanic, my mates and myself are completely stumped as to why it stopped smoking for a month - any ideas as to why that happened? Opened the headgasket the first time I saw smoke. Turns out it was spanking new and no sign of damage... got the radiator serviced along with a system flush for good measure. Thanks for your input!
  7. If valve stem seals went shouldn't it be blueish smoke? But i'll open the head soon anyways. New PCV valve is on the way.
  8. PROBLEM: My car smokes at HIGH RPM - white smoke cloud - oily smell and oil level drops. DOES NOT SMOKE at low rpm, normal drive or idling. If I press the accel hard let my foot off it smokes but if QUICKLY I press the accel again and let go - no smoke. INTERESTING FACT: The car SUDDENLY STOPPED smoking for a month on the current turbo. Just took the car out and going to work and boosted to see how bad the smoke is and no smoke! Kept it like that for a month and then it was time for servicing. I changed the engine oil, filter, petrol filter, gave the car a good wash and it started smoking again. TRIED: I changed 3 turbos thinking its the turbo seals and all of them smokes. Two of them I took from my mates and they didn't smoke in their car! TRIED: Adjusting the oil pressure but the risk of killing the turbo made me run it a bit rich again. CHECKED: Head gasket, piston rings, radiator, anti-freeze in oil and related matters - all ok. Engine compression test not done yet. NEW PCV on the way Car: Glanza V A/T with WEAK transmission soon to be replaced (today-tomorrow) Engine: Standard 4e-fte with mild steel mani, decat and 2.5" custom exhaust Turbo: Standard Ct9a with HKS actuator Others: HKS BOV (installed on top of cam, near timing belt cover, next to standard TMIC) and ebay oil catch can (going cusco soon) Can someone explain what is going on? I tried toyotagtturbo and no solution yet... this is killing me...
