  1. After a sold the starlet in May, i was carless until i bought this at the beginning of June. (2.0 8v 115bhp) its a little faster than the starlet but nothing blistering....at all!

I have begun making it 'My Own' with about a grand spent on it already.

The handling on it was pretty sound before but now it flies around bends well with hardly any roll. only problem is that the tyres that came on the alloys are...average.

and for anything decent at that size it is over £100/Tyre!!!

-Janspeed 35mm Lowered (Springs and Shocks)

    -18" Nuvolari Alloys

    -Chrome wing mirrors

    -Flat blade windscreen wipers

    -Private Reg

    -K&N Cone filter

Its not that fast but i have noticed it is a real head turner.

Thats it, let me know what you think.

  2. Just to Bring back the thread..

...I have been looking at the standard performance between a 160bhp Civic VTi and the GT Turbo.

In a straight line, which is faster????

VTi handles better standard i know but just wanna know straight line figures???????????

  3. I just removed my air filter and returned it to the stock box filter last night!

the performance seems about the same but obviously you havent got the beautiful noise....

this may make me drive slower so i'll prob save money on petrol <_<

But with rolla mani and stock filter the car stops sounding like a fan and starts sounding like a car B)

    DO IT!

  4. I fitted mine on the weekend! its real easy if you know what your doing. just take your time with the bolts.

Also, you DONT need to take out the fuel rail..thats the bit that scared me. if you can reach the bolts on the mani then its easy to get it out of there......thats if you dont have a strut brace <_<

The only drawbacks i had were a really skinny pipe one the back that goes to a sensor and a lil relay box looking thing that wouldnt reach. i just moved the box closer to the inlet on the mani by another bolt on the chasis.

The other problem was that the slot that the throttle cable sits in is real skinny on original mani but is MUCH thicker on the new one so had to play with the bolts on there to make it fit and at the same time i took the play out of the gas pedal...more responsive now

Difference: Beautiful sound, picks up slightly quicker and revs higher with ease!!

  5. i drove a VTR last night

Acceleration was real nice compared to na starlet and th handling was spot on! but it felt like i juast wantd to get a spanner and tighen things up...build quality just isnt there. the VTS may be better in that aspect, i dont know. but best part was handling...real good suspension stock! they arent as bad a i thought REALLY but i would prefer a starlet myself, just wait and get a glanza.

  6. Answer - No you shouldnt have started this lol

Theres loadz of conflicting ideas as i found in a topic i started about them not long ago.

One side says there gorgeous and bargin too

Other side says their just "wanabe's" and you should just save up and get the real thing.

both fair points......up to you ;)
