  1. Well i pressured it and of all things, the rubber that goes on the thermostat wasnt protruding the recess so wasnt sealing properly. I tell you those water pumps are a pig to change and probably wasnt the problem. thanks for your reply, its all good fun. Pressured it again and nothing is appearing to leak (air line with a rubber bung) i will give it a run tomorrow to make sure thats resolved. Its a night mare as i drive back to uni on Thursday and upgraded from a classic mini to overcome the reliable problems. The parents arent happy that i have bought another car that i am under the bonnet of more as they pay for my breakdown cover

  2. Hi all, im sorry if this is the wrong section to post this but am new to this. I have bought a glanza that is forged and running a speedvision ct9. It has a front mount and relocated air filter but other than that is standard. Recently i have suffered with a great deal of water loss first from the expansion tank and then the radiator. This happened so much that it lost to much coolant and got hot. It caused the headgasket to go and water to mix in the oil and visa versa. since then i have done the head gasket and changed the thermostat. i then realised the rad had a hole so bought a new standard one with a genuine toyota rad cap. This caused the problem to decrease but will still use about a quarter of the expansion tank. It doesnt seem to matter how long the journey is as it sucks the water into the rad when the car stops. I then changed the water pump and it is still the same. there is no damp in the car saying it is the heater matrix, no excessive pressure from the rad saying its cracked in the block. There is no obvious signs of damp where the water could be coming from. I love the car but am just baffled

Any guidance or common problems would be greatly appricated
