Old Starlet p8 (2e-e engine) is running high on idle in Ignition & Fueling Posted September 1, 2014 Hi all! I've tried the danish forums since i'm from Denmark, but no luck there. About a month or two ago I've bought an old Toyota Starlet 1,3 P8 (my first Toyota). The engine code is 2e-e. The engine bay looks like this: My problem is when I start the car, the revs is high (a guess is 1500 rpm), and it won't go down when I stop for traffic lights and so on. In my search I've seen a few topics who mention automatic choker (not sure if it's the same as an idle control valve?) How do I repair or change this automatic choker? Can someone point out where on the picture its located, or is it not the problem? Help please Kind regardsJannick

Hi all!
I've tried the danish forums since i'm from Denmark, but no luck there.
