If it's p7 springs and shocks, then i don't see why they shouldn't fit...
I typed P7 springs but i meant P8 springs
-
I'm taking only the springs of the p7 and will be using my stock p7 shocks
EDIT: Im taking P8 Springs
-
The shocks are different (the shock mount for the spring) and should be lower than expected. But apart from that it should fit.
So my car well get lower then the advertised 30 mm? Thats what I absolutely don't want cause at the moment i have 40 mm and those are too low for me
-
I bought some springs on eBay but I might cancel the order while I now see the springs have the same part number for the p7 as p8 as well. These are Kilen springs.
I thought there is a difference between the springs so you can't use p7 springs on a p8 and vice versa.
Does anybody know if the springs are different for sure? Or might it be that lowering springs are interchangeable in contradiction to the OEM springs?
I'm using stock shocks

I did find some Kilen springs which are 30mm. Might give them a try

Nice P7
Your spings or shocks are not in good condition or You have allready lowering springs, most of P7 are tractors. I think 25-30mm lowering springs are most common, never seen bigger mm as new. Consider coilovers, can adjust much better riding height, but needs big moneys, lowering springs are estimated 100-200 euros. Oem 13" wheels are so small anyway, looks horrible, I have now ones in my car
What offset are those Ronals and how wide?
Those Ronals are 7j and offset is 37 with 195/45 tires. Will be a tight fit I think with the lowering but should be possible

Rear is so light that I don't that will never drop 50-60mm compared to oem springs and schocks. Front maybe lower more than rear. Where have You found so much lowering spings?
Hi,
I'm not sure they lower 50-60. They should lower 40 (brand is AP) but i think it's a tad more. Maybe it looks while it has a little bigger then stock tires (155/80/13). But i'm hitting bumps easily and next week i'm going to mount some Ronal Turbos with 195/45/15 tires, so that would lower the car an additional 10 mm.
Here are some pictures of how the car looks at the moment:

Hi,
I have a ep71 1.3 XL with a Haslbeck body kit. Will post a project page later on.
There are now AP springs mounted i think which should lower 40 mm but they seem to lower 50-60. That In combination with that body kit makes it too low especially when I'm going to mount my Ronal Turbos wheels with 195/45/15 wheels which have 1.1 cm less high as the 155/80/13 I have on now.
Therefore I'd really like to buy 25 mm lowering springs or 30 mm at max. Is there anything available?
Thanks

Can someone confirm if the e10 exhaust manifold is a direct fit?

I have to look later on what I'm using for it. There's a special solution for injectors, carburettors, etc
Can check this on Monday maybe

And the glanza has a knock sensor and the UK doesn't have it. So you have to switch your knock sensor over to the UK spec engine. Also swap the mani over otherwise you'd be loosing some power too. Some glanza s have dis ignition and some use the same as the UK spec ignition. So no big deals only things you have to swap from your glanza engine

Hi,
My crankshaft seal was leaking and therefore i replaced it a few weeks ago. Let the car ran for a minutes but no leaking was spotted. Today i wanted to change to oil and filter and then i noticed a huge leak from the crankshaft seal. I think i might have installed it too deep, so i'm wondering how deep it should sit? Or isn't it possible to push it in too deep? I thought it had a lip on the back preventing it from pushing it in too far. Hopefully someone know so i can change it again on saturday :-(
Thanks
Cheers

I have no experience with them myself, but like said some people say it's the best you can get when looking at lowering springs. I'm assuming that means it won't be too firm. Maybe other can write there experience over here?
-
There's little information for them on the internet. I believe they'll lower 40mm. People say that it are the best lowering springs available for the Starlet.
I haven't fitted them myself while I decided to go another route ;-)

It's not fake but apexi has been taken over by another company or changed their name. So nowadays it's apexera or something like that I believe

Advancing will give more power, detarding will give more torque. I think with ron95 you'll be safe to about 12 degrees advancing, but if you don't know what you;re doing then don't! First at all it can't be properly done without a timing light.

Is it easy to adapt the miles/kilometres on the new tacho to the miles of the old tacho?
Will Starlet p8 springs fit on a '88 p7?

Yes that's way it is.
The Kilen website says that those springs are for the p8 and p7 as well. I've read that the springs differs between a p8 and p7 and therefore I'm questioning if the springs for a p8 and p7 can have the same part number.
These are the springs I've bought: http://www.spring-loaded.co.uk/proddetail.php?prod=Kilen~Sport~Lowering~Springs~-~Toyota~Starlet~1.3~P7~10%2F84~-~12%2F89
But you can search for the part number and then you'll see the p8 has the exact same number and same lowering
