  1. As above my MOT is fast approaching (everything crossed)

I could really do with replacing the rear discs so has anyone got any second had rear discs for sale?

I've got a 96 Glanza and live in the Rochdale area.

Drop me a PM if you have with price etc

    Cheers

  2. Hello all,

I heard my exhaust blowning the other day, looked under the bonnet and at the front it seems that all but 1 of the bolts have shaken loose. They dont look like the standard bolts so I was wondering if 1. where to get myself some new 1's? and 2. Is this is a commen problem?

Could I just get them in a local toyota dealer? Or can you point me in the right direction?

    Cheers

  3. I'm off there a week on Friday. Going out for a mates stag do. There is 28 of us so I think its going to get very messy!

Never been to Ibiza before so I cant wait! Dont think my liver is quite as excited as me though

  4. If the actual question was how did the EP3 keep up? Well the answer is because it’s had stuff done to it. The fact he told you he only had an exhaust on it is because he's f**king with you. Doing it this way has got this reaction out of you. It’s the same as this you tube clip.

Blokes got a 1000bhp turbo lambo. P*ss's on an enzo driver, Enzo driver he asks what he running and he says its stock! Obviously bullsh*t but much more fun for the Lambo driver

Wheres the fun in telling people what you’re running! It’s just a good job he wasn’t driving a piece of sh*t sleeper car! That would have you scratching your head for years!

  5. I come on here most days for a nosey but donâ??t really post much.

What I can say about this site is that Iâ??ve been on here for 3 years and not once have I asked a question that someone hasnâ??t come back to me with a helpful answer. Bearing in mind Iâ??m as mechanically minded as a slug, the lads on here have always come through and helped me out.

Very impressed with the site and the people

  6. I you have an old socket big enough you could cut it down to leave two bits to locate into the slot on the piston.

I managed to find an old thin spanner I had in the tool box and it fitted it perfectly

  7. yea they wind back in ive herd of people using screw drivers n what not or u can get the cheap tool http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DISC-PAD-BRAKE-R...#ht_1285wt_1163

or if uve got couple extra quid to spare they do a kit which covers almost every car

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BRAKE-CALIPER-PI...#ht_3509wt_1396

CHeers for that mate but ive already taken the back caliper off so I aint got time to wait for a tool. Do you know what the best thing to use would be?

  8. As above peeps,

Changed the front pads no probs but i cant seem to get the piston back in on the rear caliper. Does it screw in and not push in like the fronts?

Is there something i am doing wrong? Used a g clap for the front and they went back with no problems

    Cheers for your help

  9. Hello all,

I've just moved from the south (near Maidstone) to the north (Rochdale). My car is due its MOT this weekend and just wondered if anyone could point me to a good place near to where I live?

Still finding my bearings up here at the moment so any help would be greatly appreciated

    Cheers

  10. Been driving 12 years and i've had the following....

    1. Peugeot 309 (Sold)

    2. Vauxhall Astra Belmont SRI (Lorry hit me)

    3. Daihatsu Charade GTTI (Engine went pop)

    4. Seat Ibiza (Sold)

    5. Mitsubishi FTO GPX (Sold)

    6. Glanza V (still driving and loving it)

  11. I've got a standard Glanza, no mods. My mates got a standard Ibiza Cupra (not the R) and we was completley the same in first and second gear off the lights. Had 4 of 5 diffrenet goes and it was the same result but, once I got into 3 he started pulling away everytime.

  12. If your going for a clean white interior I reckon you should go for quite a bold colour (quite like that gold) for the outside, it'll be a good contrast, esp if your going for a white bay. Looking at the bay with a bold bright colour round the edge would look the nuts IMO

    :)

  13. scot-ish i think i have to disagree with you on the engine saying its not strong.

the engines are good and can be kicked in constantly with no fuss.. mi16's get thrashed to death an they live for ever! one of my close friends thrashed his until it hit shy of 200k on the clock and spat a conrod through the block

i havent come across any starlet manage that lol. fact i havent come across a 4efte with over 100k miles.. anyone got one lol? and i dont mean kilometers...

My little Glanza's got 101,000 miles on it (163,000kms) and is still running as sweet as a nut :D)

  14. I've been doing quite a bit of motorway miles lately and I'm starting to get a few stone chips on the car, also have a couple of car park dings from people who don't know how to open there doors properly!!

What's the best/easiest way of sorting these? Is it a rub down and spray or is there such thing a touch up stick etc...?

Any advice would be a great help

    Cheers
