Thanks ive always wanted a les paul and didnt want to get the usual white or black.

id still say i'm only a beginner really a years not a long time especially with uni at the same time so i cant play all the stuff i like, mostly just play punk stuff, lot of blink as thats pretty easy and just fun to play i'd like to learn how to play ska guitar since i listen to allot of that and i think it sounds pretty cool.

here are my guitars, only been playing about a year just started playing so i could play the kind of stuff i listen too don't really have any intention to be in a band.

Hi guys

Some of you will know ive been slowly putting my gt together after it was stolen and im having alot of trouble with the wiring with some parts of it being so damaged, so im wondering if someone could help my with this.

So i would really appreciate it if someone could show which wires attach to which part on this bad picture of the ignition barrel socket i drew. or if anyone has a wiring loom they could take a photo of the plug so i can see where the wires go clearly or take a picture of there own inanition wiring i know that ones a bit much to ask though

and there are 6 wires coming from the engine that have had the plug smashed off and they are:

red/white

black/red

black/yellow

blue/red

white

it read somewhere that this one is actually supposed to be the "real" second film and its as if 2 fast 2 furious never happened.

Just got back from seeing it myself and i have to say i thought it was pretty good, had some awesome driving scenes and the blue skyline is absolutely incredible amongst a lot of other very nice cars like a nsx type r and a awesome yellow mustang, i thought it has more action than the other films and it ties in with the other films too and has some cool references too the first film, now obviously people will be saying how much they hate the films etc but overall i thought its a pretty good film if you know what too expect when you go to see it and really made me wish i had my GT back on the road and not a 1.4 escort

I'm looking for some input from people who know about car wiring

After my GT was stolen I've been slowly tracking down parts and now I'm on to the ignition wiring, obviously the wires on the engine side have been cut and I've got a new plug with wire to rejoin them too so I'm just wondering the best way to go about this, or if i put up a photo of the two sets of wires someone could show which wires go together.

have a look in the games booklet or find the sims 2 on a website like play.com or something and they usually tell you what kind of requirements your computer will have to have play the game and just compare it too the specs of laptop your looking at

just found this interesting story about jay kays ferrari being smashed up outside a hotel, i especially like that part about him calling a guy in a supra over just to tell him his cars not in the same league as his what a tool, maybe its not in the same "league" but really what a pathetic thing to do.

anybody know RobSR? not had any luck getting hold of him since he mentioned he might have a wiring loom, anybody else have one they can sell, getting pretty desperate for one right now cant get on with fixing my gt until i have one, within the next 2 weeks if possible.

I have a spare in the garage. ill have a look for you. is just the plugs you want with enough wire on them to join to your existing ones ye ?

yeah thats all i need just up to where the other wires branch of for the indicators ect... if you can find one that would be awesome I'm not having much luck finding one.

so after the trauma of having the starlet stolen i have started getting hold of the parts i need and put it back together, i have got a steering column but the wiring is a complete mess and the plugs from the wiring loom have gone so i am just wondering if anyone can help me out with a wiring loom to fit these 2 plugs in the photo? it would be really appreciated, also will any wiring loom form any gt fit? or are there different fitments?

got the news on repairs i need to make on the GT back from the garage today, i need a new steering column and everything with it, new lock set, new door and a few other things either way its been priced up to about £600 just for parts and thats not including the cam belt which is due, so thats really pissed me off that i have to spend all this money just to get my car back to the way i always kept it instead of using the money on new parts.

hopefully i can get the parts myself ive already come across a steering column but its from a 92 GT im just wondering if it will fit my 95 quadlight before i buy it?

worse thing is when i had reset the miles after putting some petrol in in was on 7 and when i go the car back it was on 227 and thats how its been driven for all those miles after i've always driven it carefully and maintained it

a thought for people who know more about engines than i do, since the car has been thrashed on normal roads its probably been on the motorway at some point and i still have the limiter on so its probably been at a constant 112mph for quite stretch is this something that could have damaged the engine and be causing this idling problem?

no i still haven't seen it yet been busy getting back to college but its been in the garage a couple of days though now and had to be kept overnight which doesn't really seem like a good sign. i'll keep updating this though as i find out more

Sounds like it's misfiring. How does it drive? A new set of spark plugs and a good service should see you right. Don't forget if there is damaged wiring then it could be shorting out on something.

no i havnt driven it yet my insurance cancelled so someone else had to drive it back for me its being taken to a family friends garage though and there going to look over everything

ive decided to not go through insurance i'm just going to repair it myself and keep my no claims already got the piece of dashboard on the way just have to find the other bits, just found out though that the bastard took my damn flare as well pretty gutted about that actually.

it was found in whally range, don't know the are myself but not nice apparently, dunno where it had been though it had an extra 200 miles on the clock and its not been driven easy for them which i think is why the engines playing up hopefully nothing serious.(anyone has any ideas why the engine jumps through the revs at idle would be helpful)

ok i have some good news bad news and some pretty terrifying news.

overall the body is as it was other than a big scuff on the rear wheel arch where something has been hit and the door hasn't been smashed to get in there has been a gap made where the lock has been released but ok i guess, now the bad news the inside has been completely destroyed the dials, steering column and bottom half of the dashboard have been smashed to pieces and the steering column has been wrecked and the ignition barrel smashed off and the wiring is fucked along with the whole thing stinking of smoke, engine wise the car is idling quite erratically jumping from 750- 1400rpm i expect this is because it has been thrashed for well over 200 miles.

but now the last thing which is terrifying, so the police had been dusting the car for prints and finished and i got the call to come see the car got to the garage and started to look around only too find and how the police must this i have no idea there was a 18 inch machete under the passenger seat i hate to think what might have happened had i noticed the car mid break in, i think this is a lesson for all of us too if we ever see this happening to our cars just think for a second before we go running out to our cars.

so just want to thanks everyone who commented on the thread and kept an eye out for the car.

well got the phone call from the police today, the cars been found and taken to a garage for forensics i have no idea what condition its in but the fact they haven't caught anybody they just seem to have found it seems like a very bad sign and I'm preparing myself for the worst when i get the call to go see it.

no not heard anything else, i think its gone to be honest its probably in a garage somewhere waiting to be repainted or stripped, already been given the best chance to get the car back when it turned up right in front of a police car and showed up stolen but for some crazy reason chose not to chase it, i mean wtf?

been onto insurance to find out that i'm losing my 3 years no claims so it doesn't look like ill be back on the ep scene anytime soon, 21 with no no claims and now a claim against my name i dont think ill be able to afford insurance and thats even if i get the money to buy another.
