  1. Bonnet off, few pipes and plugs off, exhaust off, drive shafts out, bish bash bosh haha. Not too bad of a job if you have access to a ramp or engine hoist. I have a hoist you are more than welcome to borrow if your local to Stoke.

  2. Finally finished plumbing in my Avcr today, took it out for a test drive and noticed a clicking sound coming from what sounds like to be the solenoid when whenever I start hitting boost. Is this normal or is the solenoid faulty?

  3. yeh, plus with a internally gated ct9 I wouldn't bother. the boost has the potential to be all over the place anyway

That's not what I wanted to hear haha, I just finished fitting my avc-r at the weekend, and I'm running a stock ct9, just got to set it up properly now. My thinking was that at least it's there for if I do ever decide to go with a different turbo set up.

  4. Good evening guys, I have wired in my Avcr this evening, I used the guide from this forum but have a query. The guide says to connect the purple wire from the avcr into pin no3 of the 26 pin plug, which according to the vehicle ecu manual is "ignition feedback from the ignitor coil"

Can anyone confirm if this is correct as I have connected the purple wire into pin no4 on the 26 pin plug, which according to the vehicle ecu manual is "part of the IIA (rpm)" which seemed the correct one to me but the rpm on the avcr display is not reading correctly.

    Any ideas??

  5. Sure this has been done loads but I have never come across it yet, thinking of ditching my cd player and fitting a 3 gauge pod holder (single din size) in its place rather than a pillar pod. What I'm wondering is has anyone come across Bluetooth speakers that I could use, either ones specifically designed for this kind of thing or small enough Bluetooth speakers that could be mounted under the dash where the original ones go. Then I can just play radio, mp3s etc through my phone.

  6. So to cut a short story long, I've owned the glanza for around 18 months and been slowly buying and fitting upgraded bits to her, what I have so far

    5zeigen stainless cat back

    Divorced decat

    J-performance manifold

    Toyosports large fmic

    Ramair filter

    Walbro 255 fuel pump

    Sard fpr

I have also got a emanage blue to get fitted and an apexi avcr

Questions are the emanage is just the unit and wiring, I don't have a field harness or MAP sensor.

Do I really need both of these or should I wait and get a bigger/different turbo before getting them fitted?

Don't want to keep throwing money at it if it's just going to be a waste.

    Any thoughts or suggestions

P.s. the engine has only done 88k kms so didn't really want to go down the route of forging just yet until it goes pop!

  7. I have the toad Ai606. Bought it off the bay, £120 and fitted it myself. Really not a bad job to do if you have a basic idea of electrics and a multi meter or test lamp. I also wired it into the central locking control unit behind the clocks, next job is to connect it up to the mirrors to have them fold in when locking when I get a spare hour or 2

  8. Just to let you know that is identical to the kit I bought and I can't fault it to be fair for the money. Easy to install if you know one end of a spanner from another, and a pretty good fit with just a bit of modifying to the brackets. Only running 0.8 bar through it at the moment though so can't comment on how well it will be at 1 bar.
