Hi all. Just a quick question. Looking to swap my cassette stereo and replace it with a sony single din head unit so I have a usb plug in for my iphone & also a built in amp of 4X 55watt, which hopefully will liven up the sound a little bit. How do I go about pulling out the standard stereo? Hi All. I can't get my 4efe starlet in gear and have no feel from the clutch pedal so I think the clutch has air in the system. Does anyone know where the bleed nipple is so I can try bleed it and see if that's the cause of it not going into gear? Pictures would be great if anyone has any. Thanks in advance Sam

Morning all. Just wondering if anyone has any alloy wheels in their garage etc just sat doing nothing that I could buy? Not looking for anything aftermarket really, just some cheap alloys with decent tyres if possible (13" steel wheels are horrendous). Had a quick read, I scrolled down pretty far, only to realise the most recent post was at the top :\ lol. Yeah I imagine the bill will be a lot, but that's just part of it because I don't have welding/fab experience and want to know the mini (that will be my daily drive) is safe and not bodged haha. I really do hope that my 4efe engine isn't too much hassle to put into a mini, as it doesn't seem too much to have a turbo put on! Don't want to start going too mad and buying parts without knowing it will fit in haha. My little starlet has not missed a beat in the last 3 weeks and 1,000 miles odd that i've done, but with 115,000 miles on the clock would people say its still worth boosting? I saw on another thread that its worth re freshing the engine, but have no clue whatsoever how much that would cost! I will be servicing it this weekend with new plugs, 5w30 millers oil and oil fil

Nice mate, I imagine it would be like another £500, but at least for £1,000 odd it will all been done by the pros and no bodges lol. How comes you went for a CT9 turbo instead of a td04? What are those two turbos off of as well as i'm not sure how much they cost. Did you just buy your parts from someone breaking their 4efte?

Did you just hand them all the parts like turbo etc and they just fitted it all? If so that sounds like a great deal! Are you running a 4EFE engine too?

I don't really have the knowledge to do it myself, so what sort of rough cost would I be looking at to buy the parts and pay someone to fit it all? I don't need massive power because the idea is that if my engine fits into a classic mini and I add a turbo, 130bhp would be more than enough for what I need, so no need to up the boost. The Emanage blue seems to be a great way to bypass messing with a whole loom (I dislike electrics lol) so it seems that would save a bit of money? Sound, thanks mate. I haven't heard any wooing noises as of yet, but will bear it in mind . Its running very nicely considering it has 114,000 miles on the clock, guess that's credit to the Vicar who owned it prior to myself .

Was thinking it might be worth doing it, a cambelt change will not be far off writing off my car as I only paid £395.00 for her haha . Standard 10w40 oil good for the starlet? Didn't think about a coolant change to be honest. She starts up instantly like a dog being asked if they want a walk! haha. Hi everyone, just bought myself a Toyota starlet 1.3 (hold on to your seat!) and was wondering if anyone knows what the schedule is for services? Its currently got 112,000 miles on the clock and runs nicely. It had been owned for the last 12 years by a vicar so I assume its been looked after lol. I don't mind doing a quick oil and spark plug change as parts are so cheap but was wondering if when bigger stuff might need doing as it didn't come with the service book :\. I appreciate any help!
