  1. so ive not a turbo 4EFE just wired up the det 3 ecu and i cant get the ignition adjust to work. ive got the link for my pin out and when i cut pin 6-igt and wire the det 3 for igt in and igt out it wont start. ive tried all different setting etc on det 3 and nothing helps. i can get rpm read out when i wire just the ignition in wire to pin 6 but i cant adjust it. any one know about the ecu det 3? cut map wire and connected the det 3 to that and adjusting fuel works fine just the ignition side ive tried all sorts. any help would be good. thanks

  2. Hi, just put ct9 and all the mechanical parts need for boost on 4efe starlet. Ct9, hks actuator, glanza sump, glanza filter housing, oil feed, intercooler etc. Took of for a test drive just to check it ran (obv didn't expect it to boost and run boost) as I drove it and hit boost it cuts like fuel cut would on 4efte. I've got a emanage blue but been looking online at diagrams and things but can't make heads or tails of it because I'm missing pin 6 on my ecu... any help? I need help with wiring it in on a 4efe ecu. The emanage has injector, main and ignition harness. Thanks

  3. WEPR are really good i was going to go down that route but td td04 are better than a ct9 hybrid. if your not forging why dont you get td manifold and standard td04? then if you go forged you can always up the boost.

  4. would not even bother with race tech. sells fake parts, he had dropped the head or something as one of the plug sleeves had been cut and welded back on causing it the leak oil! non toyota valve stem seals leaking! sump bolts cross threaded and was leaking. turbo manifold warped.... i could carry on all day long and talking to other people who have been there they all say the same. i spent £2700 on a engine and £1700 on turbo manifold kit. would never use again hes an absolute joke.

  5. The only place I'd buy or take my glanza for mapping is tuning developments. Mike really helpful and worth the trip to get parts from. I've herd lots of people saying Ricky was terrible but I thought people was just going over the top. Hope everyone gets there car sorted! I've fixed mine myself now as I only brought a forged engine off him cuz mine had a hole in it :(

  6. I wasn't going to bother writing bad feedback on here but I keep finding shocking work on an engine and manifold combo I brought from Ricky at race tech. I brought a stage two forged engine with a td04 hybrid turbo and manifold also a 40 turbo smart waste gate. To start with when I got the engine I noticed the sump bolts had all different size bolts in... 10mm 8mm and even an Allen key bolt. I wasn't to bothered about that but for the price I payed I'm sure he could have got a few more 10mm? Oh and now after a few mile the sump is now leaking... the head on this engine was an absolute reck! It was leaking oil from the stem seal very bad and later found out there not genuine Toyota stem seals. Also the spark plug sleave had been cut and welded causing oil to leak past the rocker seals into the spark plug hole. I've had to get another head and head gasket and fix it myself at my cost. The manifold was and still is warped... I've got to get that skimmed soon, also I ask for an external gate manifold and he built a standard mani. So he's "modified" the manifold and welded a piece for the external gate to fit on but because it was built for integrate turbo I now have huge amounts of boost creep down to a crap designed mani. The down pipe from the turbo to exhaust did not line up what so ever and had to be adjust by a local exhaust specialist. And while I'm on the subject of boost creep the "turbo smart" waste gate he has sold me after saying I'd get a tial one seems to be fake. Chinese crap by the looks of it, all the clamps are rusty and he told me it was a 8psi spring and it doesn't open until 13psi on a bench test. Beware of these wastegates there are a lot on eBay saying there genuine with all the stamps of different brands etc but do not perform! I'm not trying to slag race tech off but the problems I've had are shocking and have cost me ££££. When I tried to contact Ricky about the oil seeping out of the manifold (because of it being warped) he said it was oil from assembly and it will burn off. Still doing it 100mile later does not seem to be from assembly. He also said it was my fault and it's the rings that are not bed in because I used Running in oil instead of Asda own oil... turn out the rings are fine. Engine now runs fine with a new head and does not smoke although he was trying to tell me I needed a re bore and new rings. I would not recommend race tech what so ever to anyone even if it was a simple service because the workmanship I've seen is terrible!

  7. So for a while now I've had a slight split in the inner (gearbox side) drive shaft gator. It's got worse now and started leaking greese so I ordered a new one or so I thought. I ordered on from a Toyota starlet but it didn't fit :( was worth a try because I can not find one anywhere!? Does anyone know were I can get a inner cv gator for a glanza? Any help would be great. Thanks

  8. Did another one tonight just to confirm and with warm engine and throttle open I got 135 150 150 135 so seems to be a bit better. Think once it's all run in should be okay, anyone had dealings with race tech?

  9. Was just curious really. I no the rings may need a bit of time but the guy said he had an issue with the valve guides so I was wondering maybe that was cylinder one!? Hopefully nothing as it cost a lot! :(
