need a radiator fan for my ep82, and a thermostat while im at it too.

just been to the garage now and took a look at the fuses to find the one for the radiator wasnt in at all so i replaced it and let the engine warm up ntil the fan came on which it did but made a horrible noise and then just seemed to cut out so i think a new fan is required, any ideas where i could source one?

the other day i helped a mate jump start his car using the starlet (gt ep82) so i left it running why we did it, the car must have been left for 5 minutes on idle and it started overheating and the water in the reservoir was boiling up and white smoke started coming from the exhaust, i let it cool down topped up the reservoir and radiator and the car has been running fine although the fan never ever comes on. any ideas?

My windscreen washers dont always work when i press the button, sometime i operate the rear washer and then press the front washer button afterwatds and the front ones will work! Any ideas????? Thankyou

ok mate thnkyou for your help, the trouble is the pedals i have bought are quite small and only just cover the original plastic so to fit it to one side would show the plastic underneath. im sure i will find i way to get it on eventually lol, rip the plastic bit off and weld the damn thing on lol!!!!!

I have recently bought some momo pedals to fit to my ep82 gt and the brake and clutch pedals seem easy enough to fit but how to ifit the accelerator pedal as it doesnt have a rubber cover the pedal itself is plastic, is there any way i can remove this or will i have to fit the new pedal over the plastic original pedal? Even if i did do this the holes on the new pedals are exactly where the pedal stalk is connecting to the pedal. HELP?

coolant condition seems to be ok, normal colour, maybe its just me but it doesnt seem to get anywhere near as hot as my previous cars

I dont think my car has an aftermarket ecu, and i have not checked for the limiter as i do not know what im looking for!!!!!!!

this is what mine does, although it goes off the clocks (therefore reading over 112mph) but then i lose power until i back off, does this mean my car is still limited? is there a physical way of seeing if my car is still limited?

cabin heating temperatures mate, engine tempertaure seems to be normal

my cars heater never seems to get overly warm.... any ideas????

Hey thought i would pop here and say hi. Im not currently a starlet owner as I write this but I soon may be! Thought I would log on here and see what this forum is like as i currently drive a subaru impreza sport and have found Imprezasport.net to be a very helpful site so im sure all you lot will be the same!!!! Lets hope I will soon have a starlet in the garage!
