  1. Generally we do 3 runs. The second usually makes the most power with turbo charged cars as the first run heats the exhaust side of the turbo which allows the gases to move quicker for the second run. By the third the engines are a little hotter and produce a little less. Its not an exact science though. If you only want one run we can just do the one if you require. Mike - MM
  2. Domino's are very close by and do deliver here Payment link has now been deactivated so dyno runners are now finalised. See you all Saturday! Mike - MM
  3. Right we have spoken to a local mobile greasy spoon and they are going to arrive around 12.30pm so Burgers, Bacon, Sausage and other healthy snacks should be available on site! Mike - MM
  4. Just to clarify the kisses were from Jo and were not part of my quote to you guys Mike
  5. Just a quick one. We definately have enough to go ahead now (13 paid I think) so thats all good. If anyone wants to sneak on before 12 we can start putting cars on from around 11am. Regarding payments we will need all payments for people running on the dyno by 4pm tomorrow (14/07/2010). The payment link will then be deactivated and the participants finalised. Should be a good day so see you all on Saturday! Mike - MM
  6. Yeah if the car has a tacho reading rpm its no problem at all.
  7. The Iridiums were Grade 5 fella!
  8. Yeah sure give me a shout if you need a hand and yeah I do get a bit of a discount so if you want me to price anything let me know matey.
  9. To be honest its a real difficult one as saying its definately this or that is nigh on impossible so doing the simple things certainly wont do any harm however as Liam said he has changed the oil and filter recently and Keirz has done the PCV valve as far as Im aware. I must admit I noticed a bit of smoke a couple of weeks back now when following Liam to a local meet and it did smell like burning oil and Liam demonstrated the smoke last week when he was down at our place. However as I said to Liam at the time, I didnt think it was all that bad and as its not affecting performance at this time
  10. Hi guys - as the day draws nearer. Just a quick one to mention and I think it only will apply to Sportif drivers who have not fitted an aftermarket tacho. Is anyone intending to run that does not have a working tacho fitted as this will make dynoing the car difficult as we need to calibrate the dyno to a specific rpm setting prior to carrying out the power run. We can clamp a sensor around the ignition lead which senses ignition pulses and therefore calculates rpm but it has proven to be slightly hit and miss on the few occasions we have used this method ans the signals are easily interefe
  11. Hi Mitch, Car looks great and some good mods already in the pipe line! The dyno run is a good idea to see where your starting from and to check fueling etc etc. If you are looking for a good quality, simple, mechanical boost gauge we have some Turbosmart 52mm mechanical gauges in stock at £29.95 if you are still looking. If you follow the link below to them on Scoobyworld website you can have a gander! http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/produ...roducts_id=1592 Cheers Mike
  12. Yeah we NEED to find somewhere like this SOON! Great pics by the way! Mike
  13. Rob - You dont have to be there at the start matey! 20 FWD cars will take a fair few hours to get through!! Mike
  14. If you measure from the centre of the front wheel to the centre of the rear wheel I will check to see if it will be ok to run. I think to be honest it will ok. We ran a 4wd Mitsubishi Colt with Evo running gear recently which cannot be much longer than a Starlet!! Mike
  15. Link adjusted to £35.00 inc.
  16. Hi guys, Right if we can get 16-20 CONFIRMED peeps paid up in advance then we can do the day at £35inc VAT. Also we may need to start the day earlier than 1pm (possibly 11 or 12) if thats ok with everyone! Mike
  17. There is no rush to pay straight away so dont worry. Plenty of time between now and July!
  18. Not really mate. Normal price is £50+VAT which is still fair considering the quality of the equipment we use and time taken to carefully strap down each car safely. I have been to places with Dyno Dynamics dynos who charge £90 for dyno power runs! Also as well as power and torque we will graph AFR via the wideband probe and boost for you if required plus we dont just do one or two runs then stop we will run the car till we feel it has acheived peak power. This can be up to 5 runs whilst turbine housings heat up etc etc. With regards to the VAG RR day their price is lower as th
  19. Hi guys, Nice to see this event gathering pace! We are asking everyone who is putting their cars on the dyno to pay in advance to save time and hassle on the day. Im posting the link below well in advance as places will be limited to 20 and clicking below will take you to our website where you can confirm your place on the dyno. http://www.monstermotorsport.com/cgi-bin/t...d/101/index.htm Should be a great day with the magazines coming down to take pictures so book your place now! Mike - Monster Motorsport
  20. Nice to see you Liam. Glad we could help out and get such a nice car back running sweet again. There was talk of 'breaking it' prior to driving it into the garage so glad thats been avoided as that would be a real shame, so many sweet parts on this car now though! ICV is definately the issue here. Hopefully its a perminent fix but at least if it rears its head again you know what to do. Just give us a buzz if you need anything matey.. Mike
  21. Looks great mate! Bit like the Momo I had in my Glanza. Done a few bits to the 'Teg recently so we should meet up soon for more pics.
  22. Ended up being a good little meet. Had a good laugh in the end so perhaps see everyone at the next one..........
