  1. I've had an impossible time locating a steel rear bumper for my KP. I've purchased a KE70 Corolla rear bumper and am forcing it to fit. So far. So good. I had to fill in all mount holes and drill new ones, but the length and shape are similar. At any rate, it should be a vast improvement over the giant. Plastic U.S. bumpers!
  2. I recently found a rear window louver for my 1981 KP61. I haven't seen one since about 1990 when I last owned one. This is super rare here in the U.S. How about in the U.K.?
  3. Yes. The bumpers are hideous. But they crash pretty well..... I have another post about the bumpers. I currently have the front JDM steel bumper mounted on the and the back is being modded from a steel KE70 unit.
  4. I was able to find this "small" file photo of my KP from a while ago. It's pretty much the same car, but now has a T-3 rear wing and the interior has been completed. Not seen anyway. It's powered by a Red top 4AGE twin cam and backed by a built T50 tranny and an LSD rear from a Celica.
  5. Hello. Here in the states we have these huge, plastic American spec bumpers that came on the imported KP61 Starlets from 1981 to 1984. (The only years we received the Starlet) I've been searching for months for a rear "JDM" steel unit with end caps after finding a front unit complete with brackets. I have the rear brackets. Bought off of Ebay UK. But the rear bumper that I have now ordered (With end caps also) is for a KE70,71 Corolla. What are the differences? It looks wider, maybe. First of all. I'll be painting it black. So I don't mind cutting, drilling or welding, etc.
  6. This is what I can provide. No other photo is acceptable?
  7. I'd very much like to be able to post them..................
  8. Here in America, I purchased a 1982 KP61 starlet in 1987 for $500. Eight years later and with 360k miles on it, I sold it for $800. Now, a clean and running KP61 is worth no less than $5,000. Not a bad value by any means. (I currently own a pretty beat-up 1981 Kp61 that I purchased for $3,500.) In Florida we have no vehicle inspections of ANY KIND. That means you can modify all you'd like. But it also means that you can drive all sorts of dangerous turds on the highway......
  9. I'm trying to source a rear JDM type Starlet KP61 bumper. (I have the brackets aleady) I have the big, ugly plastic US spec bumpers and I hate them.
  10. Hello. I just joined from south Florida in the USA. There is very little support for starlets here and they were only imported from 1981 to 1984. I have a 1981 KP61. I have gone the "drifter" type with my modifications. I have issues with my photos because the files are too large. I can supply some via Email.....chestersaki@gmail.com
