thanks burt, when you say outer... wheelside?

hi all, new owner of a starlet GLS 5door, when turning sharp left there is a knocking noise. what should i look at? driveshaft? ball joint? if you were going constantly left around and around its almost like clockwork knocking. thanks in advance for any advice. edit: noise is from front right
