  1. Started addressing some of the obvious areas under the bonnet that looked abit rough, this was quite satisfying
  2. Went out for a weekend blast along with a dirty Nissan 😉
  3. I’ve really enjoyed the 6 weeks or so I’ve owned this car, they are so much fun to drive. My next plan is to clean up the engine bay so I’ll provide some updates to how that goes
  4. Eeeee not nice to see! 😬But luckily what seems like rot is actually just in the top layer of paint/primer, this area always sees rainwater sitting around for long periods of time so can be prone to corrosion. A good wet and dry sorted it out, I removed the boot seal and tapped off the whole boot area to prep for some paint, I applied 3 coats of super white and left it to dry, then 2 coats of laquer, the end result is really good
  5. Found some surface rust on the rear of the boot the other day, since the weather was nice yesterday I decided to take the rear tailgate off and have a go at sorting it out
  6. I actually had the pipe and hose already as it came with the car, so the guys just used it in the build 😁
  7. I’d never expected the stock CT9 to be capable of these numbers but I’m more than happy with the performance I have to take my hat off to the mapping of this car and the work TD have done. The turbo comes on really strong and there’s a lot more low down grunt than there was previously, it pulls really hard through the gears now!! Absolute little beast!!! 🚙💨 also I’ve ditched the factory air inlet in favour of a short route pipe with a K&N filter. The turbo noise is epic 😆
  8. More Power!! So I’d been driving the car round and it’s been brilliant, it handles well and it pulls nicely through the gears. As the chassis already has big brakes, semi slick tyres, Bc coil overs and a roll cage i decided on upping the boost abit 👀 I had enjoyed getting the socket set out and doing the odd jobs on the car but i decided to reach out to the guys at Tuning Developments for the work I had planned Since the car was running standard boost around 0.7 bar (peak) and was fairly quick I thought opting for the 180hp package they do would suit the car well! N
  9. Found a decal kit so added the Glanza sticker to the rear
  10. I managed to renew 4 out of the 6 studs, but I decided that I didn’t want to risk snapping off a stud in the head😂 the threads are all good so that shall do! i installed a new set of NGK irridium plugs heat range 7, dropped the oil out of her and installed a new oil filter and fresh oil. I got the turbo back on and connected it all back up Taking the car for a drive it felt smoother and more responsive. I got my fill of the good weather driving it around 😁
  11. Now I’d love to say I threw a weld on this myself but I decided since my dad used to be a welder once upon a time I’d ask him nicely to help, I traded him a couple of beers and he welded her up for me while I had the turbo off I decided to clean up the oil feed/return line and I renewed a bunch of gaskets turbo coolant gasket oil feed/return gasket turbo-manifold gasket downpipe gasket exhaust manifold gasket + stud and nut kit gasket for the pipe off the hot side of turbo too
  12. Next on my list I wanted to give the car a service, but first I needed to sort out a cracked manifold, luckily the crack was on the merge collector so it wasn’t to bad to fix
  13. So First things first - A wash! I’ve always thought washing a car and giving it some attention makes the car that bit happier! i gave the car a full wash and a 2 stage machine polish, then a chemical paint sealant for some protection, overall the paint isn’t bad!
  14. Hello there firstly I’m new on the forum so Hi all! This is my first Jap car after being a life long JDM fan. I wanted a Glanza for a while as it’s a perfect size for my garage and also I just think there really cool fun cars. thought I would share with you all some progress I’ve made with my Glanza, not long owned the car (maybe a month ish) but the main spec when I bought the car was as follows 1998 Glanza V in white (129 000 km) 6 point bolt in cage bc coil overs WMS brake kit Nankang Ns2R tyres Jap speed exhaust with toyosports manifold fa
