  2. Welcome along bud tidy little motor :) be good to see some more 4age powered ep's!

You be going for a 20v blacktop?

If you need some pointers id be glad to help ;)

thats the plan, might aswell do it right, im going to be paying top dollar im sure to get it done right but i dont want to do anything so drastic half arsed! I've been following your thread on this and tgtt so im sure il be in touch more than a few times :) a lot more minor mods coming to mind to get it looking that bit meaner and less "cute" as some females have told me :(

  3. Wow that is stunning! I reckon it deserves some nicer looking wheels though :)

theyre are sr speedlines , i like the history they have with the starlets and I've had them so long, the gunmetal grey really pops in person! spacers should set them a bit meaner in the arches! i really didnt feel like jumping into the deep dish trend just yet!

  4. Hi.

Been on this forum for quite some time but usually just for the classifieds or information. I wouldnt be a massive commenter, Just starting this build thread quickly and il update in the morning because il never get started if i dont do it now.

Heres a couple of pictures of the car i just got it back, origiinally a sportif the only thing i didnt change was the doors.

The car was parked up for 2 years while i gathered all the parts, theres still a few small bits to be done, a decent quietish backbox, get the snap off steering wheel fitted, levin rear seats so i never have to bring 5 in the car. and rear side windows tinted. Maybe a toe hook and a few more bits but all in time. Im liking the simplicity of it at the moment.

Seeing as its not a glanza its a starlet I am hoping to get a 4age put into it before march if i find a reputable tuning house willing to take it on its not something i want to go at d.i.y.

A thanks to id-workz aswell who helped me secure a good few of the experior parts on the car!

From start to finish, the first starlet is not my car just a standard red starlet as i had no pictures of mine at this stage.

  5. Hi lads,

Looking for a bit of help with the last couple of things due to finish on my project starlet.

Firstly im buying an aftermarket steering wheel and im wondering what do i need in a boss kit so that the indicators cancel and the i can have a working horn? if anyone can reccomend a boss kit that does this il be delighted, (cheap as possible :)

Secondly im replacing the rear seats in my starlet and was gonna just stick 98 spec ones back there, however id really like to have a rear bench out of a car with only 2 back seats and a lump (like a levin) in the middle with an armrest too. I think it could look really well and would save me ever having to squeeze 5 in. (bare in mind losing the back seats is not an option)

Any help or advice ye can offer on these will be greatly appreciated !!

  6. found a reciept for titanic on vhs , a picture of an old couple and some type of japanese reciept aswell all behind the glovebox which is strange as my car is not an import.

the code is 3e5 super red to prevent future confusion encase the container had the bottom of its E wiped off makingit look like an F and it wasnt just a typo

  7. Yeah as far as i know mines is all original parts too and mines is a 96 lol. Its still not right though it feels to me like ball joint or track rod ends but no play at all. Its hard to explain best way i can put it is the wheels feel like there loose and gna fall off lol. I cam from a type-s civic aswell but ive been assured nothing handles like a starlet and i could tell in the summer when i 1st put new wheels on it that the handling is great but theres still that lacking and takes away from your confidence a little. Tbh i just want it sorted lol.

standard starlets are not known for great handling at all man

  8. glad to see the site up and running again but the backlash for it being down was very strange imo....how some members dont realise that this forum is not a business but an interest group run by admin and moderators for no profit and who still have their own personal and work lives to get on with. We normal members are lucky to have such a good mod/admin team to run it for us without a major hiccup for years and unexpected problems like this do not warrant the amount of apologies i have seen givin out, the website went down ,deal with it.

  9. got it of adam,if thats your buddy thats the same car, was mint alright,he minds his cars, i kept it mint aswell

thats the one , cleanest one I've ever seen , that boy would never rag his cars about. Does it still have the factory headunit in it .. i always thought it was a nice touch..there was factory protective plastic in the ashtray when he got it , never used. great buy lad

  10. sounds like it really means business.

quick question for you and sorry to spam the thread but I've been looking into this conversion recently and know of a mechanic who could hopefully perform it. Im just wondering apart from the uniqueness of your transplant do you ever wish you went 4efte instead and had a turbo which is more suited to a higher bhp modding?

  11. Why you wanna copy though?

why wouldnt he want to get a pair of rims he seen look extremely well on the same model of car he owns? everyone needs to get a bit of inspiration somewhere and im sure there is only a handful of members on here that have rims no one else has on their starlet.

this elitist attitude is just silly in the tuning world seeing as every manufacturer usually has demo cars wouldnt ye all be copying them to begin with?
