  1. Thats the sadest thing I have seen today (next after an argument with my GF, but thats all taken care of with make up sex and all... so that ended out pretty great)

Mine has been wandalised two times this last 6 months without being anywhere on the internet... man i hate it... mine would be close to totaly damaged if I coulden't do the most of the repair work my self. and not least live with two home painted doors and and home painted dents in the bodywork.

good point with the restrictions on this page...!

  2. Locking nuts would be a good idea don't want to find my car without it's wheels happedned to a mate of mine (he had locking nuts but the key were hidden in the glove compartment, and found by the thiefes) but that's not what this tread were about, or am I missing the point of your reply ? :D

name your price for the locking nuts, are you willing to ship them to Denmark as I don't really have any plans about traveling to England within the next couple of months :p

  3. Hi i bought a pair of alloys this winter and the snow is gone so it's time to fit them permanaitly, but when trial fitting them this winther i thought the screw treads that goes from the breaks and through the wheels seemed a bit short for the alloys that seem a lot thicker in the material than the old steel rims.

is that a problem or am i just worried (you wouldn't want the wheel nuts to be lose and subsequently to lose a wheel while driving! :D )

ps damn the starlet looks goooood with 15" 195/50 on ! :D

  4. I want to plug in a home made fake alarm circuit while waiting for the founds for the real deal.

the circuit im soldering toghther can automaticly turns on when the ignition is off... sounds a bit risky for a newbee like me to be messing about with that sort of stuff but so far i have allways been lucky when playing with electronics

Long story short; is there an easy access point for the egnition or do i have to pull the lock out and connect it to the back of it ?

  5. Thanks for the replies!... I must admit i found the solution on my own, but it took longer than you could imagin :) and the process didn't excactly help on my bad temper (I spendt 3-4 hours yesterday in a cold driveway fixing damages on the doors, roof and body caused by thiefes) next up is a date with the local toyota garage to get a new door lock in the drivers side

  6. I got my HU stolen the other day among the brutal tools the used were a set of plyers to cut all the original wirering behind the HU off. I went to the local breaker today and got my self. a new set of plugs with a bit of wire, but how to mount it to the orinigal wires.

As i see it i can eighter weld (is that the correct english word for melting small electical objects toghter?) it and isolate it with some of that isolation stuff that scrinks when heated...

or easyer but far from better i can use thoes small tubes where you put one wire in one end and the wire you want to connect in the other end, then close it with a pair of plyers

(please excuse my bad english vocabulary today... ask if something is impossible to read!)

  7. Hi I have allways hated mounting and unmounting interiour details but this is ridicilous i need to get my door pods off to fix some damage caused by thiefs but can't because i cant get the knob that controls the window off (that knob you turn to lift or drop the windows in an EP91 without electic windows)

How do i get it off without damaging it ?

  8. Hey I have an standart EP91 Engine (1,3 75 Horsepowers).

I heard that the intel manifol and the ECU is the only difference between the Starlet and the Corollas from the same year.

Has anyone tried making that mod, My best friends Corolla 1,3 drives smoothly and does not feel thoes couple of kg heavyer than mine when racing each other, but is it noticeable in my starlet if i make that little mod ?

And how complex is it, i'm no mechanic but i'm not afraid to get grease on my hands and try something new

Otherviese i'm thinking about engine swaps there's The two paseo engines 5EFE (I know that some Japaness starlets are born with that engine) and the more atractive 5EFHE, they should as far as i'm informed be easy to install, with engine mounds and eletronics and so on.

But I'm a bit more hook on a 4AFE 1,6 114 Bhp Swap since that engine is more common here in Denmark (on corollas)... but since i haven't been able to find anyone who has carried out that swap on the web I'm guessing that that's more of a hassle ?

The Glanza sounds like the most fun engine of them all and with a front cut it could be a possibility but since i only have one car ,and use it for more than 10 hours of transport each week, i would hate to wait to long for spare parts in case on an engine break down...
