as far as i can remember the JAM one looks exactly the same as stock but with a ported 3rd runner - i would really make sure you have an aftermarket mani before running a bar tbh - better to be safe than sorry! especially on a beast like that
kinda hard to see the mani but here you go...
-
No decat?!! Is it still running a stock manifold then?! if so, you've/he's been very lucky not to blow cylinder3 at 1.1bar on a K1!!
any pics of the engine bay?
pretty sure its not a stock mani, looks very similar to a jam one.... (at least i hope its not a stock mani). will post some pics up soon
-
looks awsome, liking the blitz k1 aswell
cheers!
hopefully get a decat on this month and then going to get the f-con mapped. chances are its a pretty good tune already, coming from japland, but then again its probably set up for their petrol so a remap cant do any harm (i'm guessing its been mapped for 200bhp on jap juice)
got a few things done since last update, will get 'em posted up soon... just waiting on some speakers, harness eyebolts, boot / custom install carpet and a cd player.

Great News with the Blitz K1 mate. There's only a handful of us running them to be honest.
Lovely Car.
cool, your running a k1 then? what kinda bhp you putting out?
what does everyone think i should do next? i reckon a decent decat and some celica callipers... other than that i'm not sure, i'm aiming for around 210+ bhp so not sure where to go now to get the extra grunt
-
very very very nice buddy. blitz k1 is definatley a perk in the spec list to say the least. will deffo see you about the town im sure. im the white 99 spec jobby with the blitz intercooler.
cheers man, is your car white with white alloys (rota grids?) ? think i may have seen you in galgorm not that long ago
Scholar - quinn directs your best bet i reckon, they have the glanza on their system
-
update time....
i'm finally on the road!! got my tax disc and plates on wednesday
also got the rear windows tinted
and got it on the rolling road this morning
190bhp at the fly, just over 150 at the wheels and 186.1 lbft torque!
-
Cool Im waiting on the centre console and binnacle surround and just put my deposit on the rear lip!
Tell me about it we need one more name like!!
Good news ;)
nice one, your car would be a sexy wee beast all carbon kitted lol its a good contrast to the colour.
if you want i will tell mc chu to give you my rear lip and i'll get a rear spoiler off him instead, it'll save you waiting and i don't mind hanging on till the sideskirts are confirmed before gettin the lip
-
What carbon goodies you ordered mate?
got a centre console and a rear lip on the way, after some sideskirts too if the group buy goes ahead!
oh, and my car passed MOT today.... MINT! ;)
-
well had the mate prepped for MOT tonight and used the opportunity to see if it was a standard CT9 or not....
and its not, its a Blitz K1
put a silly big smile on my face. Few other updates include i ripped the back seats out and i'm waiting on some carbon goodies of mc chu... will get some updated pics up soon. Still no luck with the MOT date, been phoning for cancellations and they have nothing at all.
-
who do i contact to book a place at one of those trackskills days? been dying to get to a track day for ages
-
heres your sig...
bit of a rushed 5 minute job 'because i've gotta go to work but i'll make you a better one when i get the chance
-
just been in contact with the shipping insurance company, turns out my policy only covered loss of the car so i'll not be getting anything to help with the repairs ;)
i'm not happy to say the least, i did have a read over the policy and iirc it did say something about damage so i think i might get my solicitor to have a look at the fine print to see as the insurance company may just be trying to get out of paying...
-
think it works a bit different in ireland? possibly, only reason tbh!
yeah northern ireland MOT centres are a joke, theres one in my town and the next nearest is 20+ miles away... and there always booked up!
-
Shouldn't be a problem to work that out man, we can fire the wideband on her and test how it's fuelling. Just a matter of finding a boost level that offers the best results with the most response. I can talk you through things much better in person. You on the road yet?
nope not on the road yet.... earliest MOT i can get is 18th august!! and i can't register it until its been MOT'd. Taking it to my mates garage (hes a mechanic) to prep it early next week then i'm just gonna bombard the mot centre with calls looking for a cancellation.
when the car showed up it was boosting at 1.1 bar i think on high and 0.9 ish on low, but i turned it down as i didn't wanna mess anything up considering it'd been sitting about for a few months.
-
was talking about these with a mate the other day, hes had a drive in one before and says there seriously quick weapons!
-
the car is running sweet atm so doubt i'll change anything,
also whats a safe high boost to run with these mods? sittin at 0.5 bar low atm.
-
interesting, very interesting.
have you made sure its actually all connected? looks like some plugs aren't connected up there, try and see if you can pull it out.
it seems odd that they're both in there together, as the fcon will override everything that the blitz does, the blitz really isn't needed.
the only reason i can think of for them both being there is that the car was far more modified before using the fcon, but after being put back to near-stock the blitz access was installed whilst the fcon was left in there as they couldnt be bothered to remove it. or something.
check to see if its wired up and see how you get on, i really have no idea why they're both there. you could happily sell the blitz access and then put the money towards any turbo kit you could possibly want, whilst happily using the fcon with a stock ecu setup, although it'd obviously require some very custom mapping by a specialist as those fcon's require some serious knowledge to work with (talk to rick if you want any further info as he has one).
very interesting that!
i'm pretty sure they're both working, the EVC is connected to the f-con and its workin sweet as, and the light comes on at the front of the f-con aswell to say its on. Theres a couple of leads not plugged into anything but i followed the rest from the ecu to the f-con so they're defaintly connected up to each other.
*edit: how much does blitz access ecu's usually sell for?
-
pictures...
quality sucks but you get the idea
-
the panel off the access ecu?
um, a hks fcon pro wouldn't fit inside a blitz access. its far too large, unless its been transplanted into the blitz access casing....
get us some pics of it mate.
lol i think you misunderstood me mate, i took the glovebox panel off to get to the ecu behind the glovebox, and their was a shit load of wires running down below the carpet so i followed them, lifted up the carpet and there it was. could do with getting it mounted somewhere neater tho
will get some pics up after i finish eating my dinner
-
looks good, the damage is normal tbh, to be expected these days.
in regard to the ecu's, why would it have both a blitz access and fcon pro? have you checked that they're both connected and working side by side? dont really need the blitz if you have the fcon ;)
i have no idea why it has both, didn't even know it had the f-con v pro until the car arrived and i took the panel off the access the ecu
-
happys days
cheers for the help man, much appreciated!
-
i phoned the iping nsurance company (well, their irish representitives) and i'm going to try and claim back money for the repairs or a new bumper. Its not only the hole and cracks, but the bumper has been pushed back and is no longer sitting in line with the front fenders which looks shit. will let yous all know how i get on tomorrow when i find out...
-
i'm currently running a blitz access ecu with a hks f-con (car came with it), but i've been told the blitz ecu is not mappable and comes pre set. I'm looking to go td04 or hybrid fairly soon and whats confusing me is will i need to change the ecu or will the f-con compinsate for this and can it be mapped / adjusted for the new setup. sorry if this is a stupid question but i'm pretty new to the whole turbo / tuning thing.
thanks
