Sorry for the 101 questions i just want to make sure before so im not having to make twenty trips to the rolling road i just want all these bits on the drive it as my daily 😊
Ive also got an apexi pen timer with a/f readout but not sure it reads properly enough to tune from! Here are some readings-
Idle - 14.7
1/2 throttle - 15.5
Full throttle 20 + ???
Seems like thats well too leaned out 😳 im going to ditch the ebc and manage boost from stock first
-
Fit everything you've got before mapping ideally, apart from the injectors.
Didnt mention injectors 😕 not planning on getting any... Did you mean the ebc or rrfpr??
Think im getting confused between mapped and having the rrfpr set up,
Will all the mods i listed with the rrfpr at 3.0bar be safe to run at? Or will i than have to get it mapped on top?
So steve im guessing you had the same... Fcd, rrfpr, fuel pump to get 1bar safely?
-
The shit thing with the hdi ebc and ebg are two seperate things but they only work together! So i cant use the ebg with out having the ebc plugged in as well.
So i would ideally like to see what the boost is without ebc then monitor it with a mechanical gauge whilst adding bits (should be able to make one up at work 😛)
it seems as tho ebc changes the characteristics of when the boost kicks in so leave it off completely until the fueling is set, then turn her up?
What can i set the fuel pressure gauge to whilst taking it to the rr?
-
Thanks steve i have got the rrfpr already i just havent fitted it. Not sure what its set at as bought it.
If i fit it now will the fueling be all over the Place and risk damage? I dont have access to a wideband so will have to take it somewhere. If im doing that will i have to get it set up again after every other mod or will that be ok to start and then fit everything else?
-
Alright chaps,
The mods are -
Hks ssqv
Hks fcd
Hdi Ebc
Hdi Ebg
Apexi N1 evolution
Zep racing decat
K&n panel filter
Hi boost set at 1.0bar (will give more)
Is this safe with no management or map?
To fit-
Sard rrfpr (i have a gauge as well)
Hdi fmic
Walbro 55 fuel pump
Turbotechnics ct9
What can i fit before i need a map? Dont really want to spend £££s after every mod getting it remapped everytime!
Thanks

Cheers 👍👍👍 i didnt even manage to come with that much information, so either they are the 50 set or the 40mms, just seems weird the fronts havent been done

No-one?
Are they likely to be the springs out of a set of coilovers?

Jun- believable

Unbelievable thread 😮 took me nearly an hour to read it all!
Very nice idea with the bumper coming off and having all that instant access.
Nice yard, nice weather what more could you ask for....apart from the floods, need to get cracking on mine when it stops snowing 😠

That shouldn't be a problem man, its 6 or so bolts that hold the cover on and the clutch disc is normally marked like, engine side/transmission side. The release bearing is straightforward to change too.
The cambelt is a striaght forward too but they seemed to have messed that one up somehow :/ how they got it runnin properly at all is beyond me,
My clutch is the same it will judder like f*ck when pulling off really slow or in traffic, but when you give it a a bit of revs 2500-3000 and let the clutch out into the revs it grips and doesnt slip at all.... Dont know wether this sounds like a aftermarket clutch never checked?

Being a usually very observent person i have recently been shocked (in a good way) by discovering im running hks springs on the rear :0
Google is not being my friend atm so anyone have any info on them??

Miss diagnosis on the shocks
No longer needed

Anyone got a lonely drivers side shock for a glanza that needs a home?

Love the vac mani, saves a lot of un-tidyness!

Ive not long got the V back on the road, theres a few more 'little' bits i need to do before its meet worthy but count me in should be done by then ;)
Im in south leics by the way
-
Id be really tempted with this if it was a tad closer!
A quick repeel and you'd have yourself a nice little flyer

As always ive been on the prowl for bargains and i came across this from japan dyno,
Look at this on eBay:
BLITZ DTT Dual turbo timer + Digital boost gauge FC3S EP91 AE86 JZX90 FD3S 300ZX
A great seller ive had bits off him before and what you see is what you get, probably get the lot delivered for £35

hdi shite mate, had one im my car before didnt even hold boost
I was asking for help on installing it not wether you think they are any good, in all fairness ive read countless reviews and its pretty much a 50/50 split. Im sorry you have had problems with yours but ive got one fresh out the box and im using it....for now with this snow about atm i'll just be happy if it sits on low at .4bar
Should be 2 lines going to the electrovalve. One to the actuator, one for the compressor housing.
If you crank it down, what boost do you get?
That should be right then? ive blocked off the actuator and fed the solenoid(electrovalve) to the comp housing, and the 2nd solenoid pipe is goin to the other port on the actuator, unless they are the wrong way round?
Its hard to tell in this weather i havent really had chance to play around with it much. Heres the stats ive got so far....
Low boost setting- dial turned all the way left- 0.4bar
Low boost setting- dial turned all the way right- 0.6bar
High boost setting- dial turned all the way left 0.8bar
High boost setting- dial midway - 1.0bar
High boost setting- dial all the way right 1.2bar
Seems like pretty good, acurrate increments, but like i said theres not much that isnt stock so 1.2 is a bit pie!!

Does no-one know anything about these?
-
There the ones mate, i went to fit the decat back on the other day to find they were m10 x 1.25 metric fine thread for some reason
-
Hi guys,
Ive got the v back and finally got round to fitting some of the bits ive had lying around.
Ive started with the hdi type-d boost gauge and contoller so i can monitor boost as i add the other bits (turbo technics ct9, zep decat, hdi front mount, sard rrfpr, walbro pump).
I seem to be pulling 1.0bar in 3rd around 5000rpm with the controller mid way on high. I dont see how this is right with everything stock other than an apexi cat back exhaust, hks fcd and hks ssqv. This makes me think its overboosting and ive not plumbed it in right? With the dial on max it reaches 1.2bar!!
I dont want to do any damage so i need to know if its in properly.
Wiring aside, the diagram shows only one vac pipe to the actuator but on the standard ct9 there is 2. Ive blocked off the hose one end that goes to one side of the actuator and put the solenoid pipe to the housing. The other pipe to the solenoid is going straight to the actuator. Ive blocked of the original hotpipe vac feed as its not used to the standard solenoid.
Sorry for the longwindedness but does this sound about right??

Anyone know what the bolt size is for the cat on the bottom end? Thread pitch, diameter etc...
Seem to have misplaced mine along with the shroud as well :/
