  1. In my opinion its kenwood all the ways great clarity. I got a amp for 90£ 600W kenwood. I have a pioneer 12" sub which is punchy as hell i mean i cn feel my ripcage jumping its great. I got this one second hand (means i didnt have to break it in loool) for 50£ but a new one wud because between 70-100 mabe more, for a half decent one, although id always reccomend a mono block for you sub sounds much better and id also try and match your amp rms to you sub rms if ya can dont wanna blow ne thing lool (been there) . But to be honest though if you want a good setup your gna need a good sub so id buy da sub n box seperatly heres a list of what i know (from hearing rocks out)

    Alpine SWR-1242D

    Pioneer TS-W3001D4

    Vibe Space II

    Kicker Solo

You can get boxes ever where so wnt bore ya.

one got an example here of a box and sub mind you shop about because im sure you could find better for cheaper...............

Id also go for a sealed enclousre because that sounds waaaay better for a starlet in my opinion plus i rekon ported boxes sound gash but each to their own. I got kenwood 6x9s sensible sounds for decent pounds there so could cost ya between 30-100 depending on wat u like, been hearing good things bout the vibe square 6x9s.

As for head unit really cant knock alpine they got some cheaper options too which are decent this model is good and not a rip off Alpine CDA-9884R (bout 160-180) but the cheaper models are good too I personally have a kenwood but would tell ya to only get a higher spec models because these are wikid but da cheaper ones sound well... cheap. Wund even recommend sony total gashness.

I have 10cm in the front but really would reccomend some that can take all the power frm your head unit like 50 wat rms (again between 30-60). either that or go for componets with some nice tweeters (30-150). personally i cudnt be bothered with cutin holes n crap but im lazy and it would sound much better if you do go that route. If you do that youll need pods (probably) so set aside for that.

You can normally power most of that out of you head unit part frm the subs obvs. if you do power your 6x9s off another amp (wud cost another 50-100). Then you need a power cap if you have more that 300 watts and plan on actually turning it up you need one. 1 frad for up to 1000 wats 2 for up to 2000 watts and so on for a rough guide. poliges if i sound patronising i have no idea of what you know and i was bored haha

    hope this helps ;)

  2. yea i understand to be honest if you looking for that, then those vibe 6x9s will do the job a treat no heavy sub jus a small amp and the two speakers on yer shelf. Mabe look for second hand ones they will probs be half as cheap as what you'd buy new. However if you jus want something really cheap then what you picked out is fine jus have a look at a better head unit. found a decent package here http://www.caraudiodiscount.com/kdc-w534-i...rs-p-13242.html + ya get an ipod adapter not bad?

  3. being bored i though id have a look these are the ones im talking about

    http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/vibe-qb69-...71v9mlglb6p5e31

They go down to 30Hz wich is very good for 6x9s nice n low usually they only go to about 60Hz. Also its rms is 200watts which isint bad considering most others are only 100watts. Lol actually looking at this compared to the other ones that are like another 50 quid more expensive these are bloody good higest and lowest freq response.plus max watts of 600. mite look into them lol

  4. I have a 12 pioneer sub power'd with a 600watt kenwood amp which cost me 80£ off the net really nice amp for peanuts. i have a kenwood headunit which cost me 150£. I also have alpine 10cm's stuffed in the front for sum good treble. I really have to agree about the headunits i have done probably about 6 installs for m8s and if you get shit headunits it make's every thing crap. I really would get an alpine if your looking for a warm sound a kenwood if your looking for clarity, pioneer if you wanna be cheap. Dont consider others espically sony i have heard two different head units and they sound nasty. As for 6x9s i also have kenwood (simply because in my opinion the produce sound shit). However what you could do is get sum high power handling 6x9s I think its vibe or kicker that do the square ones. well any ways they can take more power and come with a cross over so you could use your amp to power those should be orite considering your specs you wanna meet on you install.

Oh i have to add ive actually heard these speakers aswell and they arent half bad. What you could do is put your small amp in the glove box like you wer saying and run the wires, you can then keep the boot as you say you use it alot. So with that ya should get some amount of bass. for about £80 for the speakers and a wiring kit probs costing like 10-30 quid. If you go with this set up thuo the bass will be infections and youd probs end up buying a sub thuo haha :)

  5. Just got a new exhaust pops nicley, what you think? didnt rev it much because neighbour was moaning. excuse the poor quality too lol was on my old phone.

  7. I no on the net there are some nice apexi silencers however make sure it is an active baffler, if you have a turbo as it will sap power if it aint chek dis out

    http://www.nengun.com/apexi/active-tail-silencer

I also agree it sounds like the car doesnt have the correct compression in the exhaust system, try the cat or baffler, failing that tune your car more to get more exhaust gases giving the exhaust greater compression :):p

    hope this helps

  8. I basically damaged my standard alloys and tried to fit some 4 stud wheels that my mate had on his brnad new fiesta, I couldnt get the wheels on the car the nuts were bour 10mil to close to each other in order to get the wheels on, as far as i aware 4 stud should fit a 4 stud wheel as its standard fitment isint it?? what makes this worried is that i wish to get some replacments

    http://www.alloywheels.com/product.asp?P_I...earchSize=15%22

and i dont know if these will fit on my car (i know the size will), my car is 1.3 sratlet soleil. any help would be appreciated???

  9. Sounds like there isint enough compression of the exit gases. either a leak or a possibily of you system being too "free flowing" exaust systems work best under slight compression which aids transport of gases out of your exaust system. just had a look on the net and came across this. is your engine powerful enough to be puming out a decent amout of exit gases? a remap mite also help for various problems you have stated. hope this helps

  10. Hey im new to UKSC, I have had my starlet for for two years now and have bought a universal back box. I no this is cheap and bad but as im a student it all i cant afford it, and im sick of the pee shooter out of the back. I have it fitted but basically the garage shafted me and put some crap piping and it cracked within two months and i cant get them to fix it! any ways just wondering what i need to do in terms of what piping i need to purchase (sizes angles, reducers??) so i can get a real welder to fix it? Its a 1.3 (thats why im not saving for a full system, no point) Jap import 16V (non Turbo... i no, but still love the drive) says soleil on the side its the old style body kit. I have been to a few garages and they were all sayin to me its gnna cost alot of money to get the pipes welded.... i was not so sure sounded bull to be quoted like 300£, to be honest it would be a simple welding around the right rear chassis. Any ideas?? or garages i can trust?
