  1. Item Condition:

    2001 “51” 3 Door Volkswagen Golf GT TDI 115bhp 6 Speed – Cat C Repaired - £1895!!!!!!!

You are looking at my advert for my Volkswagen golf. It is a 1.9 turbo diesel (115bhp) engine with a 6 speed manual gearbox, which falls under the cheap tax bracket (£112 for the year).

The car is a Category C loss 11/06/2011 but has been fully repaired and VIC checked 18/08/2011. I have been running for the last 11 months and other than general wear and tear it’s had no problems. The car needed a front bumper, bonnet and drivers headlight to repair it but due to the total cost of the claim including courtesy car exceeded the value of the car.

The car was also taken for a full geometry check as a precaution to ensure that everything was straight and nothing more than cosmetic. To which all came out fine.

    Specification

    • Golf GT TDI (115bhp) – 47.9mpg on average
    • 6 Speed Manual Gearbox
    • Low Mileage for Age – 118,000 (10k a year)
    • Black Interior
    • CD/Tape player
    • Xenon headlight conversion
    • Tinted rear quarter windows
    • RacingArt Coilovers – Height adjustable (Not currently on lowest setting)
    • 16” Mercedes 8 Slot/Hole Alloys *Rare in 16’s* (Set on ebay for £595)
    • Hubcentric 20mm Wheel Adapters 5x100-5x112 to fit wheels.
    • MOT – 27/08/2012
    • Tax – 31/07/2012
    • 2 Brand New lower wishbones
    • Just been tracked.

All in all the car is brilliant, Its cheap to run and maintain. It’s been a year since it had had the repair work and nothing is amiss. So don’t miss out.. it’s a bargain!!!

    Bad Bits

    • Does have a couple of car park dings which is to be expected.
    • Has a scuff on the back bumper passenger side
    • Due to the lowness on full lock the wheels sometime catch slightly
    • When the car was wrote off all the history went with it but I do have everything since then books, mot’s, receipts etc…

Price and price conditions: £1895.ono / PX Ep82 Quadlight

  3. Cheers folks i'll keep an eye out for the clio but i wont be out for another month yet because still banned ......already bought the wheels just waiting till i am back on the road to put them on, no point in them just sitting there on my drive and letting my dad burn tyres off them lol...

  4. Aup folks let start it off then,

Im Ant from Chesterfield i originally had a Civic Vti in JDM Stylee, but got fed up and wanted to go turbo so i went on the Hunt and decided i wanted a starlet turbo. I stumble across this one which i saw on this forum so went to have a look at it. decide it was the one for and i bought the car last year from rich (Miracles) who did the project_ep82 blog on it, when i bought it it was like this..

    30082008705.jpg

    2710763935_87f9c7658e_o.jpg

and had the following stuff done to it.....

    Unknown 14" 5 Spoke alloys

    Metallic Black Bonnet Scoop

    Zep Racing Front Grill

    40mm Bilstein Lowering Springs

    KYB Shock absorbers all round

Cusco camber adjustable pillow ball mounts (Set to -0.8 camber)

Custom made 2 ¼ " Straight-through stainless steel exhaust system

4 ½" Slash cut exhaust tip

NGK Platinum Spark Plugs (Heat range 6)

Front bumper grill removed and smoothed, repainted

    Mintex Xtreme front brake pads (Lots of life left}

    TRD Urethane nylon gear shift

    Sony X2200 CD/MP3 Player

    Clear indicators with Silvatec bubls

    PIAA Deno3 LED Fog lights

    Cone Air Filter

Radiator Cooling Panel Anodized in Red

I did have a few subtle plans to do to it when i got it but after a couple of months i saw myself getting as bit giddy with the speed and got myself banned so progress stopped on the car.

Now my ban is close to being up i have started doing stuff to the car again firstly off all i changed the wheels only temporarily until i am back on the road to some 15" BBS wheels off a e30 bmw and changing the front grill to a standard black one along with the light covers but haven't painted them yet aswell as a good polish.

Still not wanting to spend alot of money on the car i focused on doing bits that i could do cheaply so i gave the car a service and gave the engine bay a bit of a tart up, giving it a good clean few bits of red hosing and a new induction kit.

    BEFORE

    AFTER

also gave my dads car a polish and took a few pictures on the cul-de-sac i know most of you will like my dads better  but hey......

after this i was about 3 months that i haven't done anything to the car as far as modifying it i just started it up twice a week and got my dad to take it for a spin every saturday just to keep the engine and all th drivetrain moving

It got to April and realising i only had 2 month left of my ban i have made a list of what else i want to buy for the car they are as followed:-

  6. I have noticed also insurance companies will keep ya insurance low if you have been with them a while!

I am 20 and hav 3yr NCB and i have been with Highways agency since i have been driving and never moved insurers and never had a crash only got 3 points for a defective tyre which they know about and i have had all sorts of cars! from start of driving.

In order i've had a fiesta 1.6Si, Baleno 1.6GS, Fiesta Zetec S 1.6, CRX 1.6 16v, 200sx S13, Civic EG6 VTI and now the Starlet and the most i paid was for the 200sx which was £1284.50 on my own n everything i now only pay £504.66 fully comp on starlet with my mum as additional driver.
