Recieved today, Thanks mate just what i requested
-
I would have thought a 55mm TB would be sufficient, i used to have a 155bhp metro with a 56mm TB and some even considered that too big. Sounds like a large TB for such a small engine. The problem with going too big would be slowing down the velocity of the air and loosing power. I really dont believe it would be worth the effort, but if somone could pick one up cheap it could be tried

Just what i wanted, thanks very much ;)

I've got a HKS hi power (not the silent) and it sounds wicked! I wouldnt say it was too loud, i cant imagine the silent being much quieter TBH. Really deep sounding lower in the revs and right through the rev range too. Personally id like it a bit louder...might save for a buddyclub

Hi mate, got a problem with my glanza because it keeps popping out of 5th gear. Ive heard the 5th gear assembly is a common problem. What im looking for is prices for the 5th gear assembly and if it comes in kit form or if i will need other parts like the synchro ring and selector fork. Thanks mate

Yeah i've heard its a common problem on the MR2s and its usually the 5th gear assembly, would just like some confirmation to be honest because i dont want to go out and buy parts that arent going to solve my problem. If anybody knows for sure or has and fitting tips it would be greatly appreciated!

Fair enough. As long as you don't mind driving around illegally then go for it, personally i dont see the point, the standard EP91 lights are perfectly acceptable, and uprated bulbs can still be legal and emit more light over standard

Its all very well listening to opinions etc, but the link i posted earlier has evidence as well as opinion. I'm not saying whatever is said in the link is gospel, but it should provide a good idea!

Be careful though, to be legal you need headlamp washers and self leveling headlights. Otherwise you could be blinding other drivers...i personally wouldnt retro fit them as i absolutely despise being blinded by drivers coming the other way EDIT: they must also have the correct number...it goes on a scale from pure white to white with a blue tint...cant remember off the top of my head which ones are legal.

Hi guys, im a regular over on TGTT and i often browse this forum too. On with the problem...Driving down the m'way yesterday, i come off the throttle and the gearstick moves back and pops out of 5th, was fine under acceleration at first but now does it under both acel and deceleration. Did a search on here but found nothing. From TGTT reading an old thread on there it was suggested it could be 1) selector fork 2) Synchro or 3)5th gear assembly. I cant see it being 1 or 2 because it goes into gear fine, no crunching or anything. Any help greatly appreciated
