  1. HI, i have been talkin to a few friends about organising a big cruise in the summer with a few different sites.

One of my mates is a member on scoobynet, and the other is on sxoc and we thought it would be class to organise a big cruise up the north coast. Meetin in different places on the way. Mainly starting in larne and driving up the entire coast and ending up at portrush/portstewart. Another thing i thought would be good is when we get up around there, we could all meet on benone beach, (depending who would be happy enough drivin their car on sand) since it is huge we could get any amount of cars there for a big photoshoot, have a BBQ and mingle around al the cars.

Would be a good way to mix with other car clubs, and what would be better than havin pretty much some of the best types of fwd/rwd and 4wd. (wee john would mess that up a bit though lol)

Would there be many people interested in doing this and any input would be class. My mates are gonna post up something similar on the other sites to gauge interest also.

  2. Have to say i love the whole old skool american movies for the HUUGE slides everycar gets lol.

Ones that spring to mind are

    smokey an the bandit

    vanishing point

    cannonball run

    gumball rally

    french connection

and we cannot forget the blues brothers lol. In the guiness book of records for most crashed/written off cars lol.

still enjoy all the others, if it has any kind of car chase, i'll be interested lol.

  3. cheers man, yeah i have been busy doin all that lol. Hence i haven't been on here much, kinda been drowning my sorrows as well, out partying loads lol.

which cinema did yuor bro see me at? the oddessy just before christmas was it?

i'll deffo have to get my arse into gear an get a run up to your area once i get the injectors an pump in mate. Mini shoot of some description lol.

  4. well i haven't been on here in bloody ages, so i thiought its time for a re-post lol

i went to compete in the second quarter mile last year to try an beat my previous time of 13.7 @ 113mph, i had got that time with all interior, spare wheel, boot full of crap and over half a tank of fuel so for this event i had her totally stripped out, nothing in it at all an set up for boost to come in harder and earlier. but when we arrived it was pissin it down, standing water ALL over the track. Did 1 proper run an got 15.1 @ 102 mph but i have to admit it was scary, lol, spun the whole way into 4th an was pullin all over the track and thats without a diff!! decent time, but gutted i couldn't get a proper time in the dry as the car did feel quicker with a better set up.

i tried for a second time and gave up as i changed to 4th but still got a 15.6 @89mph as i had shut off. when i went into the pits, i opened the bonnet to check everything over and the engine bay was covered in oil! Game over lol. just decided to tow her home from teh AA and cut my losses as not to damage anything else lol.

Turned out there was three pistons cracked, so left her in the driveway to gather money and rebuild. mi16-chris from the gt forum helped me rebuild and without him i woulda never done it but glad i did. Fitted new pistons and rods, and did the whole rebuild including grinding the valves, fitting ALL new seals and gaskets so its basically all new. Changed the clutch as it looked fecked lol, magnecor leads, polished some bits and a few other things. Now i have got her run in, i'll be deffoe needing bigger injectors as its what it was cryin out for, the higher fuel presure before to make her run safe has knackered the STI fuel pump so another new fuel pump is needed, then i can get her set up again an runnin spot on again. Has been a journey but is satisfying when she turns over an starts, been a while since i have seen loads of vapour from the exhaust lol.

    the start of it lol

  5. man those are class pics!!!

my sister an bro in law emigrated out there last year, well not dubai, they moved to Bahrain then have since moved to Quatar an they love it out there. 13Pence for super unleaded!!!!!!!!!!!! That fills the tank of a Lambo for about £15 max i reckon lol.

I should be goin out to see them in April sometime so will have to get pics up then too, i can't wait for some dune bashing in the jeeps! And we are gonna rent quads for it too, should be class.

Glad you had a good holiday man, looked amazing!

  6. yeah its depressing me as well thinkin of selling it, but these things have gotta be done at some stage. Although, i'm startin to have second thoughts, lol, i might just say feck it and go the whole hog, forged engine, diff, big brakes, paddle clutch, etc, etc. Still dunno what to be at. But she will def be attending JAE unless there is any problems.

  7. right, peoples, i'm feelin very ill at the minute, cause i'm thinkin of selling up. Reason being, i can insure a whole shed load of bigger cars and would like to own a few before its house time. Will kill me to sell if i do, but it has to happen sometime,

i have spent a total of £5000 on parts alone in the last year, then add on labour, plus the days worth of work jay has put in and myself. Also since its a rare colour it makes it quite unique, especially over in N. Ireland. Looking for offers around the £4.5 mark, but could be negotiable so if there is any interest then drop me a line. Here is some updated pics,

  8. Well time to update, got the car back on saturday night and went to bishopscourt on sunday to have a go at the quarter mile. Best run i got a 13.77 sec @ 113mph. pretty happy with that, badly need a diff though lol. The boost controller is now in and there is an sti fuel pump from an impreza as well. So before the next one i'll try to get anti-lift plates and a bloody DIFF!!!!! lol

  9. lol, oh yeah, tryin my best to do us all proud lol. the best thing was the look on their faces at the next lights, didn't even look in my direction or even at each other, it was priceless!! the guy working on it is really good at custom stuff, very neat and knows what is best for every different car. can't wait till she is finished now.

  10. turbo is back an fitted. the air filter is now moved to behind the front bumper, and all pipes connected to the turbo had to be custom made. Basically cause they were all too small lol. just got the car back to have over easter, then after easter the rest of the boost controller is going in, and the bigger fuel pump is getting fitted. but the way it goes now, well all i can say is MY GOD!!!!!!! where has this turbo been all my life! lol, AET have made a class job of it, spools up at 2200rpm, and cause the air filter is behind the bumper it creates real loud induction noises! Already had 2 races against my nemisis, a classic shape import impreza, pulled 3-4 car lengths in third an fourth, and an 03/04 style sti, pulled a few car lengths up the motorway. Can't wait now till the boost controller an fuel pump is in! :( :( :D :D

  11. is a lot cheaper, an we are looking forward tothe convoy, always ends up being great craic!! if there is anyone else that fancies the run down for the craic let me know.

i can see your point nanglebadger, but we like the cheaper option, and the craic of a road trip!! lol
