I've had a fresh import before, I feel like I'd get much more for my money buying a ready built one in the uk.

Think it's 06 or 07 I've been a member on tgtt and uksc since, got kids now so it's a toy car for me.

I've tried

Here, gumtree, eBay and piston heads.

I think I'm going to buy my 6th starlet!! It's a 2nd car, fun car. Ideally forged, big spec, clean.

I'll have cash to buy in 2-3 weeks from now.

Preferably one that doesn't need more money spent on it, I can stretch my budget of so.

Willing to pay upto 5-5.5k max, or a good cheap one that leaves me money to spend.

I'll travel anywhere for the right one, I'm in west Scotland.

well i swapped my old glanza for a gsxr 600 k3, and a pug 106, swapped that 106 for a scooby then now settled with an mb6 vti

was totally standard apart from an induction kit when i got it, its in total mint condition through out,and underneath! not a single bit of rust.

since getting it the spec is...

4-1 s/s manifold

gutted cat pipe

s/s powerflow exhaust

oz alloys, sprayed them black

only thing im planning getting a set of coilovers, dc2 closed airbox (more torque) and ill be happy.

well im currently sitting my direc access bike tests to get my k3 gsxr 600 on the road, but till then ive got another car...the 106 gti is gone...£70 to 200 miles.

i wanted a gsx-r 600 as im going to do a direct access course soon, and i had (on my pistonheads advert) p/x for one, and i got offered these both for my glanza, i cleaned the bike when i got home, i love it.

its a k3 gsx-r, 15k miles, gear display n carbon fibre rear tyre 'hugger' and few other nice bits.

im now off cars and sticking with bikes

I got pulled today n got £60 fine for my front number plate, he had me holding my car at 4k revs (without db meter) and said ok, and talked bout other things. My exhaust is loud, but obviously not THAT loud. It's a zigen5 (spelling) with decat.

I live on an island n it was mainland traffic police that were over, they have a quota to fill I guess.

He also said he had to be able to put his fingers between the top of the tyre and arch, which he couldn't??

Passed mot but he said doesn't mean it's legal.

i really appreciate everyones input here, as i would of swapped if i hadnt put this thread up.

im no longer swpping as its not the car for me. he has a guy going to look at it next week and if it sells he is going to come see mine.

saving money think i dont know what i was thinking as i love fast cars.

good point stormrider, but my car uses fair bit of fuel where i live the fuel is 1.52pl and no higher octane fuel so i got to buy bottle after bottle of booster..

dont know if im simply trieing to justify the jordan or trying actually having a valid point to my comments.

i can see where you guys are coming from saying it looks rough. i know the outside i could have clean in less than a day na dwould look like a minter. its had the cambelt and port n polish done so should be good engine wise.

i fully intend on tracking it alot at knockhill so aint going to stay mint for long. would you say its worth 4k?
