  1. Pulsar's have weak drive-shafts????? hahaha its the gearboxes fella!!! and plus they tend to be a bit stronger when you spend in excess of £20,000 on a GTiR!!!
  2. hey all! i'm Alex (Cristines other half) -she at work! she not even thinking of getting a FCD!! and i am clever!! thats how i know what shes boosting to! .....nah we put a gauge on when she went back to Bradford where she got her from because of the same prob! but they reckoned they sorted it, but hey guess what they didnt! they turned the boost down from 1.1BAR to 0.9BAR!!! i still think this is too high for the lil Glanza! My Pulsar GTiR is only running 1.2BAR!!!! for now anyway haha! i am turning the boost down again either tonight or tomoro so we will let you know how we get on!! cheers

  4. thanks they need re painting though as there well dirty and a few paint chips on them!! i havent had time to 'personalise' her yet but its on the cards, trust me!! the only mods she has are a full 6 point bolt in roll cage! APEXi air filter! TOMS wheels! tinted rear windows and an cat back exhaust system (unknown make)! my partner loves the turbo chatter she makes!! hehe
  5. no boost gauge!!! i am getting one!! dont think i am getting a FCD! its a fresh import and has had quite a few things removed prior to being shipped over here!! theres sticky marks on the top of the dash where some gauges used to be and all the senders are still present so will be aesy to fit some more thanks again
  6. okay i dont have good pics of the glanza or any of the GTR but heres a few for ya!! heres mine... the pics arent good quality sorry!!! heres the Pulsar... from last year! and heres what she looks like atm... heres his 2.1 forged bottom end!!! yet to be fitted lol i will get pics of my dads GTR asap!!! thanks
  7. she has an aftermarket cat back exhaust system! the elbow and cat are standard though! the cold weather really doesnt help at all like! the actuator is definately aftermarket but dont know which one it is?!?!?! lol i sure the boys can figure it out! i was told by them that the cold weather will 'spike' the boost anyway so maybe its just that eh? whats standard boost on Glanza's??? thanks
  8. wow!!!! you made that sound like its a really bad problem!! lol my partner has had a look with his mechanic and they are reckoning that the actuator is knackered, its an aftermarket one because it only has one boost pipe to the actuator itself and the other is blanked off!! he nearly figured it out, even though the SR20DET is his speciality haha!!! he going to take the actuator off sometime at the beggining of the week and see if its KO'd or not!! and turn the boost down ..... again!!! i just want to make sure she is all ok before i start to tune her up a bit more!!!
  9. thanks for the welcomes i will get pics up asap!! need to take some when its lighter later lol i work til its dark!! yeah theres also an AMG SL55 on the drive too big big car fanatics eh?? the skyline and the pulsar are both in the middle of engine rebuilds atm because there just nuts!! the pulsar is nearly done though, after spending £20,000 on her!!! its a monster hehe!
  10. it has standard ecu and actuator!! havent got a FCD....yet!! its on the cards! i have found out that she's boosting at 0.9 BAR!! which both my partner and my dad thinks is too high for a small engine on standard form!! the weird thing is it sort of 'coughs' just before boost and then the engine management light comes on! then if you turn the car off for a few mins she is alright again!?!?! its really weird!! will have a look into this then! why would i be getting fuel cut?? is it because of the high boost?? thanks
  11. hi everyone!!! i am christine and a proud owner of my 1998 glanza!!! i will post some pics soon! i love Jap cars! my dad has a 600bhp R32 GTR and my partner has a 450bhp Pulsar GTiR!!!! mine is only a baby compared to these but i love it still!!! haha anyways hiya!!!
  12. hey everyone!!! i have just bought myself a glanza! unfortunately i am having a few problems with her!!! my partner has had a drive and an inspection and he says its overboosting wildly and it feels laggy!! he reckons there is a split boost pipe but i took it to a specialist and they said they fixed it! but unfortunatley its still doin this! also the engine management light comes on when it happens!!! could anyone please shed some light on what could be the problem as its driving me mad thankyou
