  1. hi people, i had a problem with the turbo, took it off and the blades get a bit sticky when spun by hand, i think its the play in the shaft making them touch the edges, has anyone got one reconditioned before and where would be the best place to get it done on a budget? cheers

  3. i have a turbo timer and i religously let it warm up and cool down but the time it stopped working a didnt let it warm up properly and used the hi boost, mayb it has been an expensive lesson!!!! cheers
  4. hi there, i had a problem with my boost i.e. the boost lights was not coming on and no turbo power, i have finally got the turbo off and the blades are siezed stuck, is this because of lack of oil... if so i think if i get a new turbo it will happen again? has anyone had this trouble before... ??? should i get a new turbo of get my one reconditioned??
  5. all seems ok with the turbo blades, is there any way of finding out if it is the actuator that is broken
  6. i have checked all the pipes and all seems fine, im going to take my fan off and release the cat to see inside the turbo in case the blades have any play in the bearings or the blades r fukked, if they seem ok i will take the actuator off and replace that. i will let you know how i get on
  7. it is a standard actuator and the arm is connected. i have looked at all the pipes and i cant seem to find any leak and to stop my boost it must be a hell of a leak. is it worth me putting a diagnostics on it. or will it be a waste of money. is there a way of manually checking why i have no boost, i cant really afford to take it to get diagnosed.
  8. it happend last night when it is more moist in the air, i have a dump valve and it wont dump any air. i started it this morning and it dumped once and wont dump again
  9. i may aswell put a S sticker on it!!! lol. i cant feel any leaks when it reved a bit and there aint much of a noise either . all pipes seem in place. i think i need to put it on a diagnostics , mayb that will direct the problem a bit
  10. hi all, i was wondering if someone can help me. i have a glanza v and i was driving it when it was not at optimum temperature and the turbo just went, there was no noise and i only noticed it had gone when i noitice a lack of power when put foot down and no turbo lights coming up on the dashboard. i have checked if there is any noise coming from the turbo on tickover and all seems fine. there is no engine management light coming and the and sensors are in place as far as i can see the seals havent gone. should i just replace turbo or will it be something that can be fixed. it is not chucki
  11. they are original mounts by the looks of them. it does not have a steady idle, how do you turn the idle valve a few degrees?
  12. hi all. i was wondering if anyone can help me. i have a glanza v auto but when it is just ticking over it wobbles the steering wheel quite dramatically. it is like it is struggling on tickover but soon as i apply even a few hundred revs it goes completely. im sure im not the only one out there wiv this problem... cheers guys and girls
