Right, i have some tein s-tech springs on route from japan at the moment and have been reading up about shocks and it seems i wil be fine to run the car on the standard shocks for a while but they will eventually go. So i'd rather just get it sorted now before that happens. Yeh that seems pretty steep for such minimal power gains. Just concerned about the 4EFTE blowing up on me after spending a lot of cash on it.

Currently running a standard 1.3 16v engine in my starlet but im looking for something quicker. Have got a few mechanic mates willing to do the engine swap for next to nothing and was just after some opinions on what would be the best option. Should i go for the 4E-FTE or 5E-FE engine as a replacement? My mates have told me the 5E-FE is easier and cheaper to fit but they are of course about 33-35 bhp less than the 4E-FTE. Also how tuneable are the 5E-FE engines?

Yeh i was looking at white wheels but the last few days I've been thinking bronze or gold rota gt3's with the silver lip. Whats your opinion? Hoping to drop a 4E-FTE by christmas/new year time but want to get it looking mint first.

Bought my first Starlet about two weeks ago now, absolutely love it. Its only a 1.3i as i could not afford the insurance on a Glanza or GT but its in mint condition inside and out and has only done 60k. Only one thing thats bugging me, the colour, my mates have decided its asian racing green.. Anybody know a good and reasonably priced place to get it sprayed within 80 or so miles of leicester? Also any ideas as to how much id be looking at spending to get it sprayed?
