Mine went on thursday too lol shouted t my mate because I thought he had spilt his drink but realised once my temp went through the roof that it was the matrix lol bad times

Forgot to plug in the TPS lol ooops! working sweet as anut now! As for injectors would I get any gain from having Glanza injectors on my 5efe? Also what about a Glanza inlet? instead of the corolla? Only reason I ask is because I have a inlet and injectors to hand and the corolla one is like rocking horse shit lol

Ive got the distributor and the little plug with the 2 leads but mine doesnt have a king lead as its the N/A so do I still go to the black wire of the 2?

Ive put a new throttle body on my 5efe starlet from the Carina E and when im giving it some my car stutters and then practically cuts out. Any one know what the problem is? All i could think of is too much air not enough fuel? So going to get bigger injectors (if anyone knows what car to get these off) and a Fuel Pressure Regulator and the 4efte Inlet. Will this be a solution? Along with new Iridium plugs? Cheers liam

Ive done a test from the battery and the rev gauge lights up. Its an AutoGauge gauge. I mean the black box in top right of the bay

My Rev gauge has 6 wires: 2x Red 2x Black 1x Orange 1x Green Ive put the reds and orange together and put to a live feed so when ignition is on the light comes on and Ive earthed the Blacks. But ive put my green wire into the Ig- in the diagnostic box but nothing happens when I rev? Can anyone help with what may be the problem? Could it be because I have put the 5efe engine into and kept the 4efe ECU?? Cheers liam

Dont want the glanza bumper as is too common just going to keep it as it is and eventually modd the bumber to blend into the bits off a glanza bumber to fill the bonnet lip

The rocker cover looks darker in the metal but i think the flash made it look baby blue

My engine had 70k on it matey and I got it from a jap breakers in sheffield. Found them on ebay

OoOOO ive got a few lil bits done now New wheels, new bonnet, new lights, new hoses, new leads and a newly sprayed rocker cover, courtesy of my mrs :harhar: Pics will be up tomorrow hopefully when the bonnet is out the spray shop

Right then after having fun with my 5efe I want to turbo it! Ive got alot planned for the exterior of the car but I dont want to get that finished without the engine being done to save damaging/dirtying the new paintwork :harhar: after having the discussion with my mate who had the 290bhp starlet he just got me itching for that turbo POWER! I want to get a list of everyting needed to fullfill this 5efe to the 5efte. i know as far as: FMIC Manifold Turbo Exhaust But we were talking about what I wuold need to change internally to be able to run a turbo? If im right in thinking if I wanted it box standard I could just put a ticker headgasket on to hold the power like a 2mm and a 1.3mm? But id rather do it propperly so what wuold I need to change without being megga expensive as I dont really want to run STUPID power just yet. Cheers Liam.

I noticed a quite big difference in lower end, Had a play with a few cars and once I finally got grip and stopped spinning up in 4th it was quicker lol

Ive noticed alot of difference in lower end power, the top end only a little but 0-40 is a good few seconds quicker. Plus spits even bigger flames than the 1.3 And Mitch PM me your number dude and well sort something

No mate that was 5 hourse with everything connected and piped up turbo, exhaust etc but not wired as that took a bit longer lol But eh 5efe was wired up as majority of it was the same in 4 hours Pics are going bit slow as the weather is shiiiiiite!!!!! wanted to go play today after doing oil change, magnecor leads, silicon hoses for the rad, and new plugs

If you want? We did my mates conversion from 4efe to 4efte in just under 5 hours but that was without the wiring

Wiring is exactly the same as the 4e apart from the throttle position sensor which I swapped from the 4e. ECU has been kept from 4e and gearbox was also same. not been for a run yet as I need some Gear box oil and knowwhere was open so the suspence is there till the morning lol

My starlet is now a 5efe Took us 4 hours from start to finish!!!

Right im in the process of putting the 5efe engine into my starlet. Was just wondering what I will have to do to get it to start with the ECU being different to my originakl which my keys is for. Im only guessing but surely my original key is programmed for the 4efe ECU and wont work on the 5efe ECU? Am I correct? If so any one knwo how to get round it or what I need to do to correct it Cheers Liam.
