well originally i was going to drop my 3SGE in and keep it FWD an N/A for drag racing
now im thinking i may wait untill i can afford a KP60 and drop my 3SGTE in
cant see a FWD putting the power down from the turbo and converting an EP82 or 91 will be a bitch to convert to RWD

if any body lives close to uttoxeter and doesnt mind me looking at their car (itll only take 20 mins) i would be well happy PM me if you can or gimmie a text 07894812230

take the inlet hose of and see if the shaft moves at all, side to side play is acceptable if a really really small amount but there should be no play thats not along the axis
it shouldn't sound like this

silly question and no offence meant, is there oil in it?
and is there any play in the turbo shaft?

have you revved the car standing still in neutral to see if the noise is still there?
tells you which side of the clutch it is

I'm Paul, at the mo i drive an MR2 N/A, got a turbo engine waiting to be put in it
and currently looking for a starlet as a cheap run about to get to uni and back cant decide between 80 or 90 series though
im studying motorsport technology at birmingham city university in my second year at the moment
my final year project is goin to be putting the 3SGE in the starlet and building a drag car, at the moment im doing research into 80 and 90 series, anybody got any advise or help?
my main interests are engine bay size and weight, i know that they are similar weights but anybody know how much is dash board etc and non structural bodywork that can be cut out.
and does anybody know which has a bigger engine bay?
hopefully i will get a project thread going when i finally start with lots of pics so watch this space
