Has anybody hered from mau5 ????
He still owes me £110 for a manifod that i never got
seemed like a tidy guy that wa having a few problems with sending the manifold, draged it out for longer than the 45 days i had to get the money back through paypal (my own fault, i werent in a rush to get it and he seemed honest enough) the number i've got is -07906833094 if anyone else wantst try it
He's been ignorin me for the last fe days, if any one has another contact number/email address/facebook page for him then let me know, i'll give him a chance to send the money back before I reverse the credit card transaction

Hi all, i've been looking for an externaly gated ct9 mani for a while but havent really had much joy and i cant afford a brand new one.
So, i was thinking is there any way you could modify a non external mani to make a 38mm flange type waste gate fit, i'm looking to get a WEPR or a zisco mani, has this been done before or is there any reason that this wouldnt work.
or if anyone has an externaly gated CT9 mani kickin about, let me know, Cheers guys

I'm having the same sort of problem in my 82, the revs drop quite low if I have the lights, whipers, heaters ect on, and it judders a bit when pulling off, works fine when i'm driving but the revs drop quite fast between gear changes

Glad its not just me then lol, got a rattle that comes from the back somewhere and one that comes from the front somewhere, me and the missis cant agree whatside its coming from.
allso got a wierd sort of rubbing/rattling sound that started when the snow came, seems to rattle when the spedo needle bounces, from about 50 onwards lol seems to get worse when its cold
think it couldbe something to do with the speedo cable

Try to find out what ECU it has, are you sure it doesn't just have a FCD fitted alone?
Also check for boost leaks!
not sure what ecu it is, just a plain silver box that sits under the standars one
definatley not got a fcd fitted to it.
will be going in to the garage soon to have a new clutch fitted and maybe my td04 kit, so i'll get them to do a compression test, i just dont want to fit the td04 kit to it if its not running as it should be

it will boost to 1 bar but i keep it below 0.7, i dont drive it past that ever, i know about the restrictions in the manifold and i know the damage it can cause so i never let it go past 0.7

yes but i never drive it at 1 bar, only ever been there once or twice, usualy keep it below 0.7

hi guys, having a few problems with my GT, over the last few months its not been feeling as good to drive as it did when i 1st had it, its had new plugs, leads, oil and oil filter wich helped a little bit but now it just feels the same again, the problems i'm having are -
juddering when pulling off, allmost feels like the car looses all its power and nearly stalls
idle speed is all to shit, some times on a warm start up idles at 500 prm
really late boost, comes on full boost at about 4500 rpm on a ct9 with air filter re location, standard mani and decat
and i've been told that its running ritch (only by my mate who knows a small amount)
the mods i have are -
fmic
air filter relocated to the grill
decat and ss exhaust
hks bov
uprated fuel pump
i hav allso noticed the car has an aftermarket ecu left on it by the preveous owner, it dosent hit fuel cut till 1.0 bar and goes well past the 180kmh on the clock
i was going to try an unplug the ecu and see if i can run it on the standard one ??????
any info would be great cheers guys !

menna grind/file the pin off. not make a new hole for the pin to sit in. aslong as it works
There was no pin, its hard ton explain but it was a small bit on the inside of the comp housing that you couldnt get a tool in to, the exhaust housing side had nothing atall on it tho
anyway its all rotated and seems to be ok, wont be on there long hopefully lol

only just realised there was a pic lol, yea that bit.ity seems to stop the wastegate lining up with the mani, i can see wat i was doin wront tho, i had the smaller bit going in to the mani instead on sealing the valve

by collar bit do you mean the valve seat that sits in the bottom of the wastegate where the flange is? without that boost will just pass straight through the wastegate and out the screamer.
it sits in the flange under the valve yea, when i put it on the mani yesterday it seemed like the mani and wastegate wouldnt line up, maybe i put it in the wrong way

Yeah if you dont have a boost controller you just run your vacuum hose from the compresser housing on the turbo to the bottom port of the wastegate and leave the top port venting to the atmosphere.

not sure about the collar tho i have a v band tial wastegate and on my mani were the wastegate sits there is a groove notched out for the collar to sit into so i needed it to fit mine
cheers dude, i'm goin to be using the vacume from the comp housing for the time beng but i'll be geting a ebc soon so i'll get some of the air fittigs then
its a tial 38mm wih the flange type fitting and a gasket so i'm gusing i dont need to use the collar bit

hey mate ive just done mine a couple of weeks of ago
i rotated both sides
i removed actuator and oil/water lines
undid the centre vband
then using a vice to clamp the compressor side - tapped of the turbo exhaust housing - make sure as it comes off evenly so not to damage the fins
when the housing came away - used a dremmel and ground down the locating dowel so it was flush
then to take off the compressor side - use a strong and long handled circlip tool and remove the circlip behind the compressor housing
once its apart - again being mindful of the fins - grind down the locating dowel again
now put it back together in reverse order - keep in mind the oil return points downwards towards sump - and position the compressor housing to suit your fmic or tmic
TO DO ONE SIDE JUST TO HALF THE WORK I GUESS
BE VERY VERY VERY CAREFUL OF THE FINS ON THE TURBINES MATE
Job done ! the circlip was a bastard to get off, i took the clamp off and used a rubber hammer to split the turbo, only problem was i couldnt get the housing past the fins on there
i culd still rotate the turbo and there didnt seem to be any locating pins on there, however, the guy i bought the td04 of was a bit of a dick and sent me a td05, the only locating pin on there was on the compressor side so i had to file a little grove in the side for that to sit in

hi guys got a few questions for you about a tial wastegate
so, i bought a tial wastegate the other day, turned up today and the top vacume hose connector is missing
searched round a few places yesterday and couldnt find any, then i read somewhere that if i'm not running an EBC then i wont need the top one and should just block it of, is this rite ???
if not where can i get a replacement connector ???
and i've read there needs to be a collar in between the wastegate and mani, i fitted the waste gate to my WEPR mani yesterday and the only was it would fit is without the collar, woukd this be ok to use ordoes it need a collar ?

iddy sells replica's of the rear splitter and skirts and i think he does the front splitter to. have a look on his website. ive got a genuine kit on mine with the full front bumper, livesports ftw!

I get mine from halfords, you need to file down the 3 tabs on the back because there a bit wider than the origional ones, not sure of the bulb code tho sorry

Mine have been open for 3 years now, no issues here.
Debris cant get to the bearings, so everything is hunky dory.
ok no water lines it is then, any idea where i can get a oil fee andreturn, the only ones i've found are speed vision, any one know of any uk distributors ?????
