  1. hi i have just had my head gasket done and now car seems to be smoking white when on idle and just on pull away, doesnt smoke on boost at all and coolant level isnt going down at an alarming rate. i have a fuel pressure reg which i have set to 3.1 bar to run 1.0 bar of boost pressure, i have a cracked mani also at the back just wondering what this could be??? as wasnt doing it before head gasket was changed

  2. hi i have a problem with a ouple of lights come up on my dash board and i cannot find anywere on the internet how to read them if you dont no what they are?

    does anyone no if there is a link to a page where i can read about all the lights and what they mean??? its the battery light and the one next to it on the left??? thanks

  3. hi i have blwon my head gasket and am just getting all the parts together at the mo. i asked the guy at the parts department and he said there was 5 bolts, that cant be right im sure it is 10 can anyone please confirm my thoughts even mini engines have 9 head bolts???

  4. hey i am thinking of running bigger injectors as the ones i have now are standard and dieing! i only plan to run jam ecu with blitz hybrid so which size would be best would it be 330cc and if i do change do i have to get it mapped or will the ecu just learn that bigger injectors have been fitted??

  5. id check the spark plugs aswell had a similar problem on the first glanza and it was the spark plugs and distributer cap

    Ive got a fuel cut defender which is wired in all fine and its definetly not fuel cut, it only happens when i put the fuel pressure up to 3.1 bar, i have now fitted the standard fpr bk on and all is well no hesitation. and the fuel pump is now not whining. it only hesitates when the fuel pump whines???? and sparks dizzy and leada are all brand new

  6. Hi i have just got my car running 1.0 bar on a rrfpr and hks actuator, i set the fpr up to 3.1 bar 45 psi so that i could run safely at this boost pressure. Right so now when i accelerate i get a hesitation like the fuel isnt reaching the engine quikly enough? since i have done this the fuel pump is making a horrible noise ( still the standard pump) am i right in saying i need an uprated fuel pump to run this pressure safely and hence stop the hesitation???

The only difference is the abs version comes with a lil metal ring , if you have abs you can tel by opening your bonnet and see if theres a few metal pipes running down the left hand side of the car, if you order abs and you dont have abs you can take the ring off easily enough and they will still work fine

    thanks for that mate i ordered non abs as i no my car doesnt have it but i have fitted the brakes now and they are sweet as a nut it doesnt make a difference abs or not on the front but the rears are where you need to make sure you have the correct discs. i have also put them yellow stuff pads on and oh my god they are the best pads i have ever used from cold and even better when roasting hot. in all pretty impressed with the brakes i bought considering the whole kit with pads only came to £260 well chuffed

  8. by using a bar, and seeing how much it moves.

    more inclined to think it might be driveshaft. are the CV boots in good nic?

    goin on holiday today so am going to have to investigate when i get bk but i will keep you posted when im home on what i come across thanks for your help

  9. Do you have an adjustable panhard rod if not might be the rear tire rubbing check the outer side wall on drivers side for rub marks also i have that sound like somthing popping out whe i accelerate hard from N/s front too

    i dont have a panhard rod and my rear wheel does rub slightly when going over bumps but this is defo not coming from there it sounds as if it a moving part under the bonnet?? as for the knock how would i test to see if it is a arb bush???

  10. i have got a knocking sound from the front left side of the vechile when pulling away from stand still, i am guessing it could be a arb bush or something suspension related as just had new engine mounts fitted about 500 miles ago and were powerflex so should be sweet. also it has only happened twice but i get a kind of rubbing maybe grinding noise when i pull off also?? what could these be???

Hi i usually idle at around 800-900 but today being the first actually hot day i was idleing around 700-750 i no this is not much of a drop but its enough to make the car start to shake on my uprated engine mounts lol and it was annoying could this be due to the hotter weather making me idle slighlty lower???

Ok so i have just got a braided oil return but it is leaking at the flange, i am thinking of using a small bit of gasket sealent to seal it properly but am not sure if this is a good or bad idea as i have had mixed comments, someone said use cork gasket but i no the oil eats away at it??? please help as need to fix this problem....

  13. Hey have just snapped an engine mount but caught it straight away i purchased a power flex front enigne mount (not gearbox side) and just wondered weither it was ok to run an uprated mount with two standard mounts for a while until i get the money for the other two mounts???

  14. do you need to gut the pcv valve if you plumb in a catch can as i connected it to pcv then inlet manifold and oil just bubbled inside can and broke the seal on it?? so i took it off for now until i no exactly to plumb it in correct any pictures of your already plumbed in and working catch cans???
