Yep no management the cam lobes all have chips on them, boost pipes have electrical tape on most of the joins, the waste gate wasn't plumed in correctly. The kid obviously had no idea how to put cars together so I'm just gonna rip it all out and start again @liam D if I remember correctly you work for a turbo company?? I might sen you the turbo to have a look at before I sell it if that's cool??

Haha yeh mate sounds proper Yeh it looks good from the pics in the build thread. But seeing it in the flesh is another storey. The turbo kit will be up for sale to try and recover some money. If I ever run into the kid that sold me this car at any shows god help him!!

Bottom and top end both have knocks. The car has been worked on by monkeys. Going to pick up a new engine tomorrow and hoping to have it back up and running by Sunday

Well cut a long story short I drove this car for 5 miles after buying it and it shit itself. Plans are to sort it out and make it nice again K26 Turbo kit, Wheels, impreza seats and exhaust will be up for sale.

Like the boys are saying decent oil is a must. Make sure you clean and oil the air filter after off-road ride

Love my motocross bike been doing since I was 6. You will have fun on any proper dirt bike. Don't waste your time with those wanky pit bikes. Riding them things is like having unsatisfing sex!! Pointless!!

I agree Ryan. All he was willing to do is pay for the recovery truck and replaced the rocker cover gasket. I will just have to see how long it lasts. I would me more than happy with a new engine but as far as he is concerned the engine hasn't been damaged even though it had been knocking.

Yeh we will see what happens. Might just end up breaking it to recover some money. Let's hope I never run into the kid

It was a school boy error on my behalf buying a car without looking at it first. I thought the guy was a genuine seller but turns out not. The car had apparently just ha a new rocker gasket and oil change. I will change the oil and filter before I drive home and hope for the best

Already tried that mate and he's not having any of it. I'm thinking of just paying him a visit. He migh change his mind when I'm outside his house kicking off.

I'm not convinced it's gonna make it back. Basically I've payed 2250 for a rolling shell not happy at all.

Right I brought a gt off a member on here. Sent the mrs up to collect it and after less than an hours driving the oil light flickered on and it stopped dead. The recovery driver told her it had a bad knock form the bottom end. Anyway the guy I brought it off came to have a look at the car out oil in it and the knock had gone. All that needed replacing was the rocker gasket. Whig he came back and replaced So what I want to know is who thinks the car is gonna last and make the 2 hour drive home?? I don't get back from Australia till the 20th and will be going to collect it that day. Place your bets below
