  1. Sorry for the late reply guys, been up to our necks in sorting things out, and there was also 'another party' interested in taking over the magazine so we were holding off making the announcement totally final, however nothings materialised as yet. Enzo we did have a sound business plan when we embarked on this venture, and with the massive embrace of interest we received across the clubs we seriously thought it was the start of something good, what we could not of accounted for, is all that interest not turning into readership. We self funded TPM ourselves, and with the low level of take up, we just can't risk continuing with a second issue, I hope you guys understand that if you put yourselves in our shoes.

We're only a small family run publication and recent health concerns with my mother, Pam who handles much of the day to day running of TPM/MR2 Only, admin, orders, dispatches etc, also dealt us a crippling blow as we'd struggle to continue in our current format, even without the financial loss of TPM issue 1.

Those who subscribed will receive a refund on the 5 issues they've outstanding, if you could just bear with us a little while, as we've a hell of a lot of a lot to sort out, as unfortuntaly TPM not working has also affected our longer established magazine of 4 years, MR2 Only Magazine :0( any concerns or enquiries, please email info@toyotaperformancemagazine.com

We're at JAE next weekend for the final time, if anyone wants to pick up a bargain copy of the one and only issue of TPM, or its available through our website at £3 posted in the UK.

We thank the UKSC for all their support to date, was a pleasure meeting you guys at Japfest, and the dyno days, we're just gutted we can't continue on.

p.s. I will make the photos available to Enzo, that we took on the dyno day, that were intended to go in the 4 page feature :0(

    Steve, TPM

  2. Quick update...

Issue 1 of TPM proves to be a continuing success, with great feedback from both UK and overseas, which is great news and encouragement as we embark on the 2nd issue.

We've just officially had our first distributor/retailer for the US, www.twosrus.com we're keen to establish further reseller/retailers so anyone who is interested please drop me a pm, or an email through our website.

We're well into the show season right now, and you'll find TPM/MR2 Only Mag at TOTB, Elvington, Sunday 8th August, Supra Pod in August, Jap Fest Evolution at Rockingham, JAE at Wicksteed Park, 4th Gen Celica Show at Heritage Motor Centre, Warwickshire and of course concluding with Jap Show Finale at the Pod, so be sure to head over and say hello.

Thanks for the issue 1 orders and subscriptions so far guys, keep them coming so that we can continue to keep publishing a magazine truly dedicate to only Toyotas. To order your copy of issue 1 visit http://toyotaperformancemagazine.com/forum...3-Current-Issue

And just as a reminder, we're always on the look out for performance Toyotas/Lexus to feature, please fill out the feature request form that can be found in the header of our website.

  3. Glad you got OKY fixed Jo!! and again, big respect to you, and the guys organsing yesterday for a great day!

Yup, I've only posted a handful of pics so far, not had the chance to edit the full lot we took yesterday, had to passify the missus today and do a days gardening, as we've just moved house! lol. But I'm fairly sure I managed to get a shot of each of you guys standing with car to appear in the feature in the mag of the day, along with the details you all handed back to me. I've about 7 slips missing, but I think Jo said she'd chase them and let me have the details before we go to print with issue 2.

  4. Starlet vs MR2 Dyno day, I fears there's quite a few of you guys that would be embarrasing our 2.0 MR2 Turbos with your 1.3's!!!! lol. Must say I was really impressed yesterday.

Here's a few photos from yesterday (feel free to copy them here) lots more taken for the spread we'll be doing in issue 2 of Toyota Performance Magazine.

  5. Hey guys, had a great day today, first non MR2 dyno day we've been too with the new mag Toyota Performance, excellently organised by Jo (thanks for the invite!) great facilities at Monster Motorsport, very hospitalable too, and a nice bunch of guys/gals, and some very impressive numbers from both N/As and Turbos. Great to see so many turn up to specate too, at one point I counted almost 30 cars!

Gutted we had to shoot off before the 267bhp run! DOH! Will be a 4 page spread in issue 2 of TPM, and I managed to get a fair few photos, and some details too. Few of our info/power slips went astray, I think we've counted 8 up, but I'm sure we can grab the info from you guys here before the next issue goes to print. Will try and post a handful of photos up soon.

Yeah all being well, Krissyb's car will be our first featured Starlet in issue 2!! Got loads more to follow up from the ones you guys have posted up here, and ones that have been submitted via our feature request on our website. Keep em coming guys!!

  10. Thanks for all of the magazine orders so far guys, much appreciated! spotted a few of your cars at Japshow last weekend, Our trade stand did pretty well, with lots of interest in TPM, and lots of sales of the first issue. We'll be covering lots more events throughout the year, JAE is a biggie for us in September, In the meantime, we're cracking on with issue 2.

  12. It's official, the first issue of TPM is now with the printers, hopefully ready for dispatch at the end of the week! Been a gruelling weekend, with us all sitting around disecting each page making sure it's spot on editorially, and layout wise, quite a task when we're all a bit obsessive about detail! lol

Thanks to all of the team, Pam, Cyril, Mark, Gareth, Johnny, Andy and Lisa for all of their hard work and efforts in getting this first issue to print, and thanks to all of our contributors, photographers, writers, advertisers, owners clubs that have backed us, and our readers and subscribers, without you all it could not of happened, oh, oh, I think I'm having an emotional moment!!!

Exciting times ahead, we've so much more to come issue by issue, some great exciting and even rare and unseen stuff, so watch this space! If you've submitted your own Toyota as a feature don't worry if you've not heard back from us yet, you will do, we've just been wrapped up in getting this issue right!

    - Pre-order your copy now http://toyotaperformancemagazine.com/currentissue.php

  13. Hey guys, quick catch up, yes the mag is pure Toyota goodness, no naked ladies sprawled over cars here, you can buy Nuts or Zoo for that! :D As said above, yes, there is sometimes the odd promo girl in the background of a show/event shot, and maybe the odd attractive lady Toyota owner, but nothing too provocative!!

More great news, all being well, we are now only about a week or so from going to print with the first issue, just tying up some loose ends, finalising a couple of features and we're good to go!

You can pre-order your copy of issue 1, or better still subscribe here

  14. Thanks guys!

We're only a couple of weeks from printing our very first issue of TPM, inevitably we have run a little later than expected given the fact it's the very first issue, but we're very pleased with how its all coming together and look forward to getting it into print, and out to our readers.

To pre-order your copy, or subscribe please go to http://toyotaperformancemagazine.com/forum...3-Current-Issue

We'll also have a stand at Japshow, Santa Pod in July, where we'll be selling the first issue, and promoting the magazine, whilst gathering photos and event report coverage for the 2nd issue of TPM.

  15. Had a great day out at Japfest yesterday, great to meet you guys/gals and see your cars, some real stunners, and I have to say the Starlets really growing on me! a big thank you to Jo, Enzo for getting everyone together and cars etc for us to take a few photos, and thanks to those guys whos cars we lined up, and all those who stood around for the photos! You guys are our first CLUB PROFILE, which means in the first issue there's a double page spread with the big group photo we took, some individual shots/group shots of cars we took while wandering around your stand, and a bit of background about the club.

Was funny late on in the afternoon while I was walking over to the other side and spotted a silver Starlet out on the track tussling with a GTO I think it was, class!

We look forward to seeing you guys at more events throughout the year, and featuring some quality starlets in Toyota Performance Magazine
