daz gt turbz

well finally managed to pull the car into the garage after painting the floor, took the top can cover off and the oil is leaking from the slave cam (the one without the pulley) so im guessing it is the cam seal. has anyone changed one of these before if so whats it like to change and any tips? and im guessing its a toyota only part? but i carnt see why this would cause the amount of white smoke pouring out the exhaust?? or is this another problem? help would be good guys cheers daz

well after replaceing my water pump after it went on the way to the MOT, took it for another MOT and it passed after fixing a few things. the car has been off the road for the last year so was good to have it back, drove it around abit since last wed only done 140mile in it as its my weekend car and there was no problems with it at al. took it out thurs night to brim it with fuel ready to go to USC today still running sweat, got up at 4 to set off and drove through town(about a 2min drive) to my mates pub to pick him up, smelt oil on the when i was litteraly round the corner and when i pulled up clouds of white smoke out the exhaust and oil dripping out from engine, didnt even bother looking this mornin we just went in his car and on the way i thought it was turbo oil seals, but got home and had a look, it takes about 2mins for it to start smoking out the exhaust when you start it and the oil is dripping . . . sorry running out of inbetween the two cambelt covers, but this is as far as ive looked i aint taken anything to bits yet but now im thinking head gasket??? anyone confirm this of have any other suggestions?? help would be good cheers guys daz

thats alright then because so has mine now,lol. just ordered, cambelt kit, powersteering + alternator belt, and for good measure while its in bits a new oil pump then everything is sorted and i shouldnt have to change anything in that area again!haha

well finally got it all of but there are a few scuffs in my cambelt so ordering a new kit and will put that on, so have to wait for that to be delivered till i can put it all back together and see if its fixed. but my bottom pulley was on realy bloody tight and when trying to get it of ive knocked i few bits of the edging off, will this effect the bacance of it or will it still be ok to use? also if i do need a new one where will i get one from?

havent put it back together yet because i painted aload of bits so left them to dry so il give it another go tomorrow, cars dont normaly cause me any problems but trying to get this back on the road is turning into an epic so think im begining to loose the plot with it abit.lol

yea be reet, ive never given up on doing summert on a car before but i just dont seem to have the umf to do this, so painted all the bits i took off before they go back on so it wernt a total waste of time!

its to much of an arse for me!!lol ended up putting it back together and il just have to take it to a garage and let them struggle with it. ive got alot of tools and thers noway any of them can get to the bottom bolts that hold the engine mount on as the wheel of the water pump is in the way but egine mount is in the way of the water pump bolts.lol. so its a garage bill for me!

set to tonight knowing it was going to be an arse, and the worst part is it failed on the way to the mot spot last sat, was well looking forward to driving it its been off the road for over a year now! so, so far tonight ive taken all the parts around the water pump off, ie resovoirs, belts, cam belt cover, ect, and started on the engine mount but started getting awkard and no matter how many brews i drank and fags i smoked i was still getting annoyed with it so thort it was best to leave it, calm down and carry on in the morning! hopefully il get it sorted tomorrow moring, get it motd, taxed and insured and take it up the the drag day at kirkbride, i can fell and earl srat coming on!

well managed to borrow some trade plates today to take the car for its mot, so brimmed it with vpower on the way had abit of a play in it, felt great to be driving it again after a year, got to the mot spot, pulled in side, got out and had a brew with my mate, then pulled it forward onto the ramp and id left a big puddle on the floor, thought it might just be rain dripping off the car but a quick taste and its coolant, got it on the ramp wernt leaking anywhere then turned it on and its pissing out off the water pump(pretty sure it is) great off the road for abit longer and was hopeing to take it on a drag day this weekend but thats out the window. anyone done 1 before? is it a job i can do in the garage on axle stands or best just to let the garage do it on the lift? any help would be good! daz

worth a shot seen as finally took the car for its mot yesterday and the water pump shat its self on the way.

hi guys, fitted my gizzmo boost controller and i carnt for the life of me work out how to actuly set the boost to what i want, had to get the instructions off the internet, heres the link http://www.gizzmoelectronics.com/pdf/MS_IBC_Ver_2.0.pdf they realy are bloody hard to get to grips with, dont know weather its just me having a blonde day, at the moment im not realy arsed about all the other settings at the mo, just want the boost setting so i can drive it. any help would be good!

wheels are now getting refurbd and painted the same as my rocker cover and other engine bits, white with loads of luminous paint chucked at them.lol

some grapichs please! think bought getting the japanese riseing sun, wanting the sun just infront of the rear wheel witht the beams coming off it.

still got a few things under there to paint but had enough of doing that paint splattering at the mo, anything and everything gets covered in luminous paint when you do it.lol. but think my wheels are going to be the next thing to do!

was only last sat night that, night ended up with in the back of a police car because i found a taxi sign so stood in the taxi line with it on my head and they wanted to do me for destruction of property and theft. still a gud night tho and havent heard anything from them yet.

yea its a full livesports kit, front bumper cost 800quid alone, and now now lads calm down its only a lady. . . . . but heres a cheeky 1 for the team. cheers for the comments for both car and lass,lol
