  1. man i have similar issues



    in every two weeks my oil goes from full to half on the dipstick



    i have done 2 engine rebuilds now



    fully forged



    only thing i haven't changed is the head and the pistons from the first rebuild but changed the valve steam seals the first time round



    changed turbos from tf035 to td04



    checked spark plugs and they are good



    changed PCV vavlve



    new original toyota oil pump



    blowing no smoke at all and oil is not leaking anywhere



    i think i am going to boat ramp it its driving me mad :angry2: :angry2: :angry2: :angry2: :angry2: :angry2: :angry2:


  2. mate i have the same problem..been 1000kms since i ran my car in and oil is burning away slowly..my friend said usually when i hit it a thin white cloudy smoke comes out of my exhaust



    i was thinking the turbo to..i hope its not the head gasket..fml this cars a nightmare

    mate has a ep71 forged 5e



    he has the 265degree cams ported and polished head and 9.3lift



    he wants to know what turbo would be better the gt2860rs or gt3071r?



    His currerntly making 230kwatw with a vf35 with 30psi (316hpatw)



    He knows its way past its efficency.



    currently revving to 5.8k want to rev to 7.6k



    Leaning towards the gt3071 because he has a .57 re-housing that he can bolt up to it and it already has a .84 already with it



    the gt2860 has a .63 housing



    he doesn't want it to be 6000+ power band but wants power up top (street use)



    wants good flow and good response..

  4. i recently just finished my forged build on my 4e

    i had a spare 5e as well just sitting there but decided to do it all on the 4e because parts are easier to come by

    5e has more torque, 4e revs more

    my friend made 157kw at the wheels with his gt28 on his 4e

    with 5e would be a little bit more i guess

    go 5e if you have time ;)

  5. sorry to double post.

    wired it straight through the thermo housing and through the ecu

    removed that sensor put in another one i had and same thing it shoot straight up

    wondering if there we need some resistance somewhere maybe a relay :/

  6. x2, theres one connection on the thermo housing which goes straight to the dash, tiny spade connector, single wire.

    thanks for all the help guys :)

    also forgot to mention i got a glanza dash..so from the thermo housing run it straight through to the dash with a single wire?

    was looking at the ECU and there is 2 cables that might lead to the dash also

  7. Hey guys and gals

    recently put a forged engine in my glanza replica. Got the engine and wiring out of a ep91 which got it from a ep82 gt.

    Pretty much as soon as i start the car the temperature guage goes all the way up :/ going crazy..went over wiring a few times

    for the GT engines does the signal for temperature go to the ECU then to the dash? cause i think there is a temperature port on the ECU

    if anyone can help me it will be good

  8. Thats down under for ya, they're a few years behind on the modding scene (like us and the usa). Give it a few more years n ther'll be getting the stance bug and we'll be calling that chavvy lol

    lol dude you need to visit Aus then you will see how we have been modding for years..
