  1. Sadly have to pull out Enzo, car is going to my mum in september. Doubt she'll need/want an rear ARB.
  2. Nice EP95, first carat one ive seen. Different, but equally cool.
  3. Update, ran a new pb last night. Pretty sure this is the limit of a factory EP85 with full interior. 17.7 nzEP85 (EP85 4E N/A 60-70hp) February 2011
  4. Sweet, no big deal if springs dont go ahead. Was actually planning on getting ZOOM's from japan in the future, shipping will most likely be less etc.
  5. Keen on both, any clearence issues expected for the 4WD exhaust?
  6. Update! Got my 17 17.87 nzEP85 (EP85 4E N/A 60-70hp) December 2010
  7. Haven't had a problem with the viscous coupling since replacing it, don't imagine I ever will, its just replacing a balanced part with a smaller balanced part, weight has nothing to do with it. Yeah the 5 door versions are ugly, would have much preferred a 3 door but managed to pick this up for an unbelievable price considering the condition and kms.
  8. Got a set of genuine TOM's C2 wheels from one of the starlet central members that I managed to pick up for next to nothing. Was after a specific size (185/55R14) as I was after a low sidewall and it also helped to keep the speedo accurate. After doing a bit of browsing around the local tyre shops, I settled for a set of GT radial Champiro GT. Was originally after the Champiro GTX but found out they was recently discontinued. PS. This made me laugh More recently ive had the boot resprayed and am looking at an alarm. Still tossing up whether or not to lower it and go 4E-FTE, not sure how f
  9. Took the car to the dyno for lol's, and found out the viscous coupling had split. So after some wallet lightening I got myself a brand new EP95 one. Then went to a friends to fit the drive-shaft. Some of you may have seen this post on tgtt First things first, car was jacked up so the wheels could spin freely. Managed to get a decent look at the old shaft, note the huge amount of fluid sprayed on the underside. So took it out and laid it next to the new EP95 one. A few things that were slightly different became apparent. Firstly the mount points for the exhaust hanger thing are on
  10. Thought id chuck my cars thread up here, pretty much copied from Starlet Central so sorry if the grammer is a bit fail. Heres some photos the previous owner took. Brought it off a lovely old lady who used if for daily driving to the city, till she started taking the bus to save petrol/parking. Comes with the mighty 4E-FE and C50F 4WD box Everything is stock standard, apart from the prerequisite fluffy seat covers and battery. It also came with the factory owners manual, full service history and was serviced every 2000kms  ;). Was stoked to find it fully optioned with facto
  11. Nice 85, massively jealous you guys have an abundance of 'S' spec variants. Highest spec EP85 here that ive seen is an X limited
  12. Anyone know if EP82 GT front pads will fit an EP85? Been told by various internet sources the front brakes are the same but haven't been able to confirm.
  13. Out of interest has anyone opened up the rear diff and had a look at the head? Just wondering what the size of the crownwheel/ring gear is, and whether some sort of lsd can be put in. My guess is a 5.6" similar to the X code diffs in the KP60
  14. Nah sorry don't have a spare. Probably better to get one from yahoo japan as I would probably keep the spare box, there relatively rare here too.
  15. Yep both 2.277:1 Wouldn't matter too much if they weren't, viscous coupling takes up the difference
  16. Cool thanks, we're not allowed front exit exhausts in NZ (unless its a dedicated race car) so might just run the down pipe till I figure something out. Not planning on doing the GT bonnet/front/guards thing so looking at a ST205 water to air setup. In regards to the fuel pump, I've heard there are issues with running the stock GT pump?
  17. Im looking at biting the bullet and going 4E-FTE sometime in the future for the EP85. Would someone who has done the conversion give me a list of all the EP82/91 parts required and anything to look out for. Would be just a factory setup to begin with.
  18. Not easily. Know a couple of people/businesses who deal in importing from yahoo auctions. I dont import myself but one of the sponsors (Fortyone) of a club that im a part of - Toyspeed (NZ toyota club), generally does container sales from Japan to NZ which we can get very cheap shipping for heavy items, pretty sure they can ship something to you as well but it would probably be regular air freight = $$$. Ewan from Hayatonka also imports from Japan and specialises in yahoo auctions, dont know if he imports to the UK though. Hope this helps. At least you guys have a distributor for ROTA wheels
  19. EP85 Springs - Yahoo Japan
  20. Here you go. As you can see, still has factory ride height. This is what im aiming for in the future. Probably a bit ambitious as I know lowering these is more difficult. Would love to get a set of the EP85 coilovers from Meister R but shipping from the UK would be painful, and also they require certification in NZ. So looking at getting some ZOOM springs from Japan.
  21. 18.1 nzEP85 (EP85 4E N/A 60-70hp) July 2010 Could probably run a 17 with less interior and more gutso on the launch.
  22. Hey, new guy here from NZ. I'm on a few other starlet forums, so thought id join up here seeing as it has a dedicated EP85/95 section. Currently driving a 93 EP85, standard except for some TOM'S C2 wheels
