Boosting a Starlet

Boosting a Starlet (5/8)

  1. After all this unfortunately it was time to move on. Thanks for all the positive comments and constructive criticism! My new ride is a 2011 (60) honda crz gt!
  2. This car is now sold! Gone to a mate of mine... He will be joining ukso very soon hopefully!
  3. Year:1985 Model:starlet gl Tax: till 30/6/2014 MOT:about 1 month will end in july Mileage: 57000 Description: My much beloved ep70 needs to find a new home, as many of you will know from my build thread it has been in my ownership since April 2010 on my 16th birthday. I have roughly pumped around 3k into making sure this car is right! It had just last year: 2 new wings New front valance Rear arches rebuilt (couple of bubbles have come through New brake discs and pads to the front New shoes at the back New alternator belt New starter motor New brake hoses front ad rear Overhauled calipers Corroded brake pipe cut away and replaced Brakes bled and flushed Clutch master cylinder o rings replaced Clutch bled and new fluid New track rod ends New lower ball joints New timing belt (not yet fitted, will be included in sale comes with tensioner) Full rolling road carb tune Stainless exhaust system New points Condenser Plugs Leads Dizzy cap Rotor arm Lowering springs all round Rear shocks and top mounts Front shocks (not fitted) Soft cut rev limiter Whilst in my ownership it has also had New clutch slave New alternator Used replacement carb As you may know the cars paint was all rattle cam however it looks stunning those of you who were at japfest will agree! The interior is all imaculate and original other than the steering wheel however I do have the original still available The car is lowered 40 mm on pi springs. If I get the asking price I will include the lenso bsx alloys and nankang ns2 tyres that were fitted probably only 1000 miles ago! Otherwise it will have he e30 bottle top's put back on. It has a 2 inch custom stainless exhaust system from the manifold back! Just one powerflow box, sounds immense, especially now it has a rev limiter fitted! The original centre caps will come with the car as will a nice selection of spare parts for under the bonnet! Bad points Boot lid needs respraying Cambelt need fitting Few little bubbles on the rear arches, and the odd age related scratch but it's gorgeous none the less! Price: 1600 I know it's high but I can't really let it go too much lower I will be open to negotiations However if you want it I will expect a 10% deposit via PayPal to secure the car. I will be loathed to refund the deposit if you waste my time! Pictures: Will post more pics of her here in due course.... Contact Details: Contact James 07813571951 James.Tittensor@Hotmail.Co.uk Location: The car is based in Stoke on trent near j15 of the m6 Reason for sale: I wish I could keep this car forever but I have just entered full time employment, I have courses up and down the country I will be visiting customer houses. I have just secured a 2011 honda crz gt! If i could store the ep70 and keep it, I really would. Don't let that scare you off the car, it's fast fun and reliable! It should fly through an mot no problem and actually returns about 35-40 mpg! Thanks James
  4. If the sale falls through Id be very interested!
  5. Bumpy bump bump! Open to offers!
  6. Item For Sale: D1 spec blue wheel nuts full set 20! BMW e30 bottle top wheels Micron exhaust silencer Item Condition & Description: D1 spec nuts are in a respectable used condition.... but by no means are they new The e30 wheels were refurbished before I had them very quickly... have a couple of curb marks bit still a nice looking set of wheels for the money. Come with 3 remoulds that have done less than a thousand miles each.... However these are remoulds so would probably be best to remove them! The other tyre is perfectly legal but again a cheap brand. Exhaust silencer was bought at a bike show with the intention of it going on the back of the ep70! But having a stainless exhaust system built put an end to that one!! 65mm entry would look mint sticking out of the back of any jap car... should make a nice sound too being a race can! Price: D1 spec nuts £20 posted Wheels £50 or nearest offer collected Silencer £65 posted Pictures: Payment & Shipping Details: Payment via PayPal as a gift or plus 4% to cover my fees. I am based in Stoke on trent if you wish to collect I will take cash on collection I will send out as quick as I can once I have recived payment Pm me on here if you are interested
  7. Double post! First video shows the car hitting the limiter at about 5250rpm... so only made 68bhp. Second video has the limiter set at about 6750rpm so the car could reach peak power at 5800! Made a lovely 70.7! Will round that to 71bhp!
  8. Thanks buddy... appriciate it! Here are the videos of my first and third pull on the dyno at japfest. Need good speakers or headphones to hear it properly! Starlet ep70 2e dyno: http://youtu.be/vJbmktenJOM Starlet ep70 2e dyno 2: http://youtu.be/4VHT5sBsgB4
  9. Thanks to everyone who made japfest the amazing event that it was! Here are some amazing photos I've liberated from social networks and photo bucket! Thanks again!
  10. If anyone caught a good snap of my blue ep70 that would be lovely to see! I know a fair few of you took some!!
  11. I really do need to video the exhaust.... its just finding someone to hold the camera! Maybe I will find a willing volunteer at japfest!!
  12. Thanks lads, need perfecting still, these old girls take some lovin' Hoped to have so much more done pre japfest..... Looks like it's going down with craised paint on the boot lid, no spoiler and no splitter! But she will be clean!!
  13. I'm convoying with 3 turbo starlets all the way from home.... So I'll have my grumbly 2e engine, my limiter and 3 spooling loonatics !!! Maybe some chase and status if I get bored!
  14. Double post from me..... Here it is.... No more used wheels for me... Took some better photos when I got home Went to go and detail grandads juke for him, well just give it a polish! Parked on the drive! Looked like a super miniature japfest! Spent 120quid in halfords topping up the cleaning supplies, so that I can get ready for japfest..... That was a Painful transaction to make after you have just spent 600 on wheels and tyres! Let the cleaning commence!! Comments welcome as always... Spacers will be fitted on the back when I have the time!!
