Hi just wondering if anyone has any experience with these rods and how they have been rated there is a forged package on sale ebay which I thought was reasonable price spec as follows

Starlet 1300 turbo Ultimate engine rebuild kit

This kit includes,

Wossner forged piston set (rings,pins and clips included) available in 74mm 74.5mm and 75mm bore sizes (please state when ordering)

ZRP forged connecting rod set fitted with ARP 2000 fasteners and rated to over 600 bhp on 4 cylinder engines.

Athena MLS steel headgasket available in 1.2mm or 1.4mm (please state when ordering)

ACL main bearing set and thrust washer set at std size

Calico coated ACL big end bearing set (these are the ultimate performance bearings with high lubrication coating for extreme performance)

They are impressive figures mate expecially on stock head am guessing I should over look 3angle valve jobs ect

Theres a guy breaking his paseo near me but I thought I would buy an already biult 5e or 4e so I have both options available to me which makes the decision even harder for me lol the other problem I have is am in Warwickshire and its hard to find s good machine shop to do the work without being ripped off and I dont want to travel miles to get it done dont know if you know anyone my way?

You know anywhere I can purchase cams from? Should I need them I went from goibg to build/buy 4e to being adamant for a 5e now am going back to a 4e lol great help though adam

Would you still opt for the above spec for a fast road occasional track car on a 4e then? On a tdo4/tdo5 280bhp at the wheels if not can you give me another spec for what I need mate you seemnto be a starlet guru lol

What would that be like to drive as a daily driver lol and I would use it more for fast road then track would it still be the same spec finally why would you opt gor 4e high compression over 5e would it not give as faster spool then a 5e and how would you achieve the high compression

Am building a 5e ive been contemplating between the 2 for a while but decided to build 5e or buy a good spec one if it comes up so if I build one just wondering what engine spec people would suggest for what I wanted (stated previoulsy above)

I want 280bhp at the wheels fast road track car mate on a tdo5 or tdo4 with fast spool what engine mods would you suggest ive seen a few builds and graphs and it seems all the fast spooling engines have racing cams and are 5e forged

Has anyone have pipercross racing cams on there engine if so how good are they?

Sorry for the spam but why do people use these coil packs over standard leads ect what are the benefits and when would you need to use them

Exactly as stated am after a forged engine 4e or 5e as I have just blown mine might go back to standard but thought I'd see what could be for sale

No mate that wasnt me ive never see another glanza in nuneaton although there was a silver one it belonged to the guys son who ownes haddin motors but not seen it for years

Bit of a complcated one but hoping someone can help a friend works at a car parts place and can get cheaper parts for me however as my glanza is imported they are not sure what fits and what wont I want to buy service parts but would they be same as a normal starlet? Do I need to get part numbers from Toyota and match them? Any suggestions?
