Year: 1999
Model: Solida
Tax: N/A
MOT: February 2017
Mileage: 139,000
Description:Hey all, I haven't posted on this forum in a very long time. I've been a member and Starlet owner for a very long time and I'm looking to sell my daily car which I've had for about 5 years.
It started off as a standard Solida, I came across some Glanza parts a while back so I decided to spruce it up a bit and got carried away I guess.
Here's quick list of modifications and parts;
- Glanza Front Bumper
- Glanza Rear Bumper
- Glanza Boot Lid and Spoiler
- Glanza Side Skirts
- Glanza Headlights
- ID Workz (Varis replcia) bonnet with racing pins
- Reflet Rear Lights
- Clear Front Indicator Lenses
- Clear Side Repeaters
- Glanza Front Upper Strut Bar
- OZ Saturn Wheels (refurbished in Satin Grey)
- Side strips removed
- Colour coded mirrors and door handles
- PI Lowering Springs (-40mm)
- KYB OE Shock absorbers all round
- Replica JAM front lip (not currently fitted, requires painting but will be supplied)
- GLS Dials
- EP82 Gear Knob
- Razo Pedals
I think that's everything, just ask if you need any clarification on anything.
It has been regularly serviced and has had a decent mechanical life.
Being Honest
These photos were taken a few years back so the car looks pretty good. Right now it'll a little tattier and older of course. It likes to go pink and needs polishing on the old body panels, the Glanza parts are ok in terms of colour. Here's a list of a few bad parts as I prefer to be honest;
- Needs polishing regularly
- The clutch could do with changing soon
- The interior is a little grubby
- The Glanza headlights have fogged up
- Some of the interior switches no longer illuminate
- The mileage is roughly 6k less than what the dials show, I lost my old dials and never wound back the GLS dials so I'm advertising it with the higher mileage.
I think that's it for the most part, I guess you'll see if you take a look at the car in person.
Let me know if you'd like pictures of how it looks now and I'll organise taking some.
If the car doesn't sell I will be breaking it, right now it's better if I can sell it complete though.
Cheers.
Price: £800 ono

Hey all,
I'm not sure if this is a long shot or not but I'm after the back box rear exhaust section with polished tip from an SR Starlet if anybody has one kicking about?
Thanks very muchly.

I recently purchased a single Sparco Racing NS-II wheel from Rob. Very pleased with his communication and the wheel is exactly what I was after, very friendly guy, would recommend to anyone.
Thanks again dude.

Hey all,
I'm after one Sparco Racing NS-II wheel in 15" x 6.5 with an offset of ET45.
If anyone has a full set I will consider it as long as they aren't buckled please, also colour is irrelevant.
A pic for anyone struggling to identify the wheel.
Thanks in advance.
-
Hey,
I'm after what the title says, if anyone has one lying around that they want rid of give me a shout please.
Cheers.

Ey up,
I'm after the standard oem fuel filler cap from a UK Starlet or Glanza as they'll be the same if anyone has one kicking about?
Cheers.

Thanks guys, Idrees I'm after a bigger car next, got too much equipment to carry around now so it will be easier with a saloon. Will be ideal for a 4E-FTE conversion though as it's been looked after.

Season appropriate photos, getting the Glanza front end sorted next week all being well then it's up for sale.
-
Kool looking car and some great photos!
-
Thanks Idrees, let me know if you come across an oem bonnet or a cheapish alternative.

Oops, haven't updated this for a very long time. Done a few more things with the car since I last posted.
Since I've taken my Civic off the road to rebuild I installed the wheels on the Starlet and upgraded the suspension with a set of Pi springs and some new KYB shocks all round, much better and safer now.
Also picked up some Glanza headlights to go with a 96 Glanza front bumper and JAM front lip, all I need now is a bonnet.
Here are some shots from the other night when I was experimenting with a few different lighting techniques for my work.
-
Received parts well packaged and as described, also got some free advice which helped a lot too, many thanks!
-
Nice! This is one clean Starlet, love your work.
-
sweet man that looks good. how did you fix the mdf to the plastic? and is that covering the holder bit at the side?
cheers man
Yeh its covering up those pockets in the rear, I used L brackets screwed in to the plastic then fixed the wood to that, the speaker facia's cover up the screw heads so it all looks tidy. I'll take one out and post a picture of the fittings when I get chance, will make more sense then.

i have a good speaker setup in my house but dont know where to put my 6 1/2 inch component speakers as i had them in the door pannels in my last car. i have seen a few glanzas with added speaked in the door cards. can you buy something for it? or any ideas where to put them?
Hey dude,
I was in the same boat as you, I had my system in my Civic before and that came with integrated rear metal speaker brackets, so I came up with the same idea for the Starlet but made from MDF. Speaker size is 5 1/4 though but I think 6 1/2 may fit without any facia's over covers on them.
Then the rear parcel shelf has 6x9's on with a raised MDF platform to level up to the lip so its flush.

One word, amazing!
