  1. Looking a sump for my ep91 N/A as I damaged it doing a rally yesterday and now has a big fist sized hole in mine.

    Engine is 4EFE.

Doesnt matter if it has the pick up pipe like in the turbo engines, I can block it off as I have done previously.

    Postage to Northern Ireland

    Thanks

  2. cheers for the advice ill have a think about it. if i do decide to make the change ill be changing the box for a box with a diff already installed. I no they werent built for motorsport but at the minute im not willing to fork out for a new gear box, shafts and a quaife diff at 650 quid when the car only cost me 400 quid.

  3. I do short rally stages and autotesting and need the grip to improve on times :) Joel you might be fimilar with lanes rallies as its in around antrim / dungannon / ballynahinch usually I compete

Thanks for the advice. Is it a straight swap gearbox for gearbox? Driveshafts I take it are different as well for the diff?

  4. Product Website:

    http://www.quaife.co.uk/shop/products/qdf15e-1

Can anyone confirm if this diff would fit into a 1997 Starlet Sportif 1.3? As far as I know its a EP91. Quaife returned my email stating they didnt know what cars it fitted surprisingly but sent me the diagram below. Their website states that it fits any FWD starlet but seeing as theres quite a few different FWD starlets out there I would like to be sure before I go spending the £600+

If anyone has fitted a different quaife diff to their EP91 could they let me know the model please as I think some of these diffs can be interchangable between cars.

Diff is for motorsport purposes so this is why i have choosen Quaife as I already have a quaife diff in another car I have.

  5. OK i know there are alot of LSD question etc on here but im looking some extra info.

First off i have a competition car, a 1997 starlet sportif, standard no LSD.

Im looking to put an LSD into the car but dont really want to go spending the 600-700 on a quiffe diff. My plan was to try pick up either another car with one standard fitted or pick up a gearbox with it fitted.

    Now a few questions.

What cars came standard with fitted LSD's?

Will it be as easy as just changing over the gearboxes?

What different types of LSD are fitted standard and which should i be looking for?

Im just going by a few things ive read about standard LSD's, this is my first looking into it so maybe this is all way out of question and not possible at all. Any help would be greatful.

  6. How did you guys fit the front strut bar to an ep91? I have tried to fit but it does fit past the part circled below. do you relocate this part just?
