Finally got it bolted up

Cheers pal but payed for one 2 weeks back.

getting to 2 weeks now Socks! Where's this cable?

Well can't get the bugger fitted! 3 full days trying and stripping more bits off to give more manoeuvrability! Just borrowed a hoist but still no joy! :sad: :sad:

Speedo cable wanted - single piece as below

The threads were loose and it unscrewed easy! But the parts A & B are still solid, can't even move with stillies and molegrips! Left soaking overnight. If still stuck will need to remove from car and get in the vise.

Just got to remove the broken bit now!

Hope the replacement gearbox is ok!

ooops! didn't want to do that did I? But it's now disconnected.

Can't get the speedo cable off the gearbox help needed please! Read that the cable sheath should be held and the metal sleeve should turn. Does A turn independent of B? Or does A+B turn independent of the cable going through it? Noticed that A has a hole into it just above the larger diameter of B.

OK cheers, noticed there weren't any a couple of years back but I had trims on. Lowered and black steelies now!
