  3. Well can't get the bugger fitted! 3 full days trying and stripping more bits off to give more manoeuvrability! Just borrowed a hoist but still no joy! :sad: :sad:

  5. Speedo cable wanted - single piece as below
  6. The threads were loose and it unscrewed easy! But the parts A & B are still solid, can't even move with stillies and molegrips! Left soaking overnight. If still stuck will need to remove from car and get in the vise.
  7. ooops! didn't want to do that did I? But it's now disconnected.
  8. Can't get the speedo cable off the gearbox help needed please! Read that the cable sheath should be held and the metal sleeve should turn. Does A turn independent of B? Or does A+B turn independent of the cable going through it? Noticed that A has a hole into it just above the larger diameter of B.
  9. OK cheers, noticed there weren't any a couple of years back but I had trims on. Lowered and black steelies now!

  12. New wheel bearing fitted but no grease caps to keep the crap out Both sides needed!
  13. Well I've started doing it myself on the drive. Spend all day clearing air box/battery/clutch cylinder and linkages out the way and removing the drive shaft. Couldn't split the bottom ball joint and couldn't remove the three bolts on the control arm. In the end I unbolted the strut and steering joint and the shaft levered out the gearbox easily with a tyre lever. Took the hub nut off to removed the shaft totally. Stopped when it started hailing. Got a new clutch for it too. Gearbox should be here Tuesday.

  16. How much am I looking at for a garage to replace a supplied gearbox? How long do you think it would take?

  18. 5 speed gearbox for a 1997 1.3 Sportif 4EFE EP91. Gearbox is howling and about to give up on me! Cheers
