Hi, thanks for your reply. Well I have to swap my rotors anyway, they're quite badly warped (thats how I got them). So when I step on the brake at 90 mph, my steering wheel vibrates quite badly. So I thought if I have to do this, why not swap them for some EL44 ones. Since the center of the brake pad will be about 8 mm further away from the center of the hub (the distance between axle and pad center (half of 64mm height) will shift from about 85mm to 93mm), I suspect this alone to increase braking torque by about 9,4%. Couple this to EBC Redstuff pads and I should get some serious braking improvement for not much money?

Hi everyone, I want to upgrade my brakes a bit, because my car is a daily driver (100 mile daily commute) and traffic on my route is high density and high speed! (also my fault ) I have a 1996 Paseo EL54, which I guess means that I have the 238mm rotors. I'm thinking about swapping them to the 254mm rotors that later models and the EL44 had (also I believe some Starlets?). Now I can source the rotors of course, and they have to be new. But what else do I need? I found this link: Toyotanation.com, that says all I really need are caliper brackets that are fit for the 254 mm dics.. But how about bigger calipers as well? Is it a good idea to try and swap to Corolla calipers? Or are those going to require custom brackets? Don't worry 'bout the pads, I've done an internet comparison between Hawk HPS, Ferodo DS2500 and EBC Redstuff, each one will probably be a really nice addition. Probably going for EBC because of the availability over here in NL. As you can see, I need ideas from the Paseo Big Dogs! What do you think is my best option? Again, I don't want to spend â?¬400 or anything like that. Greetings, Jochempie

Great result with that carbon fiber! I tried to remove my boot lock as well, to make it easier for myself to machine polish the paintwork on the back of the boot. I tried to remove the screw on the back but it's so tightly fastened that I failed to get it out. I'll try again later today, but use your method =)

Hi Everyone, First of all, I'm new here and I'm sorry I haven't introduced myself and my Paseo GT (Dutch version) properly yet. I'll do that as soon as I've polished the paintwork, which should be tomorrow! I've bought some a-pillar triangle shaped plastic covers for the mirror bolts from him, so that I can install a proper component speaker system in the paseo, but still change it back to original when, I'm sorry, IF I want to sell it I'm using the plastic covers to install some tweeters. Anyway, Rob had them laying around and at only £6 for the two, including shipping, they were a right steal! I got them within a week after payment had been made (in a triangular box, can you believe it??) Reasonably quick, considering they had to cross the North Sea for under £2.. Unfortunately, since we in the Netherlands don't use Paypal a lot (we've got iDeal and nothing is ever far away here) I got some problems with Paypal doubting the authenticity of my payment. Rob even suggested I get them for free, which is a really nice gesture! However, since us Dutch are anything but cheap I got Paypal running again and paid my dues. Thanks again, Rob! I have a problem with my central locking and also my remote. First problem is that my central locking does close both doors when I turn the key in the drivers door. But when I open the drivers door with the key, the passenger door stays locked and I have to open it from the inside. Second, the car won't open with the remote key fob. It closes it just fine. But no response when I want to open it. It's almost as if the doorpins are too heavy for the system to lift up! I know that's probably rediculous, but does anyone recognize this problem or know what to do? By the way, my '96 EL54 Paseo doesn't have an alarm.

On a slightly separate note, i'm looking for the foglights as well, anyone got a spare set? I might just install circular daytime running lights in them.

Hi! Do you have the plastic A-pillar triangles, to fit over the mirror bolts? How much are they for the pair? And do you ship to the Netherlands? Thanks in advance.
