  1. Don't worry about it mate. If you get something through the post just contest it was the blue car or the equipment needs calibrating.

Cross the bridge when you get to it. Lifes too short to care about these things especially when you know you haven't done anything wrong.

  2. Thanks for the replies guys.

Bean I am actually a Notts lad and have just invaded beautiful, warm, sunny Cumbria  . I will steer clear of Gates Tyres then cheers, I thought cam skill would be the place to go to in the end.

I have heard a lot of praise for the uniroyal rainsport tyres so may just plump for a pair although I have heard good things about the vredestein quatrac3's also hmmm.

I think I'll just nip over to whitehaven in the end and make a day of it lol.

    Cheers guys,

    Jamie.

  3. Hello UKSC,

I am currently in the market for 2 x tyres for the front on my car.

I currently have on Pirelli P6000 which although were pretty good on the dry, they handle like a pig on roller skates in the wet.

Now they are worn down to just within the limit they are absolutely terrible.

Now I am looking for a decent pair of fitted 195/55/R15 tyres for the wet or an all season tyre as the weather up in Cumbria here is notoriously bad 99% of the time.

I am normally live in Carlisle but sometimes come back to Nottingham for a few days and was wondering if anyone local knows of any good tyre places? In Carlisle I have seen a few 'Gates Tyres' vans rattling about and wondered if they were any good? Likewise any good places in Nottingham?

Thanks in advance for the help guys and gals.

  4. Fantastic weekend! Was really nice to meet people from here in real life. Felt really welcome, even only being on here for a couple of months (and owning a Corolla lol). The atmosphere was awesome and even though this was mine and Lottie's first JAE we sure don't want it to be our last!

Big thanks to Rob, Amy, Steve, John and everyone else who made it such a good show.

I have put my pictures on the OFFICIAL JAE picture thread here... OFFICIAL JAE PICTURE THREAD

  5. the manual glanza TB are 3 pin plugs, the auto glanza TB are 4 pin :D so you've obviously got an auto TB

and they do make a BIG difference to top end

car is looking clean as hell charl :D do mine at JAE please :p

There you have it lol. Ryan knows his stuff! Guess you will be fine with yours starletsportif and it will be a nice straight swap.

@Ryan not sure what throttle body it is as the there was onlt part of the TPS left on the throttle body. Could you just use a MT TPS on a AT TB then? Guess it would be worth at as the 4EFE sounds like its restricting the 4EFTE inlet mani.

I think she is cleaning it again today (weather permitting) and giving it another layer of wax as only one was put on the first time. I wouldn't count on her doing yours lol she gets angry doing her own :D.

Did you manage to sort your cams out Ryan and get it running for tomorrow?
