Aye your ryt mate there is defo a good few cars out there. Wee can see what comes of this chat to see how many would be intrested in a meet up here but by the looks of it theres not a lot using this now. Its a shame really

Hi guys just a msg to see if anyone from Scotland is still using this section. Just thought I would put a wee bit of input in after reading the post the other day on Facebook about what we could do to better the forum and this section as I have noticed my self that I have been doing exactly the same as they are talking about. Going straight on Facebook rather than the forum. This is actually the first time av posted in about a year. Looking at the Scottish quarter to and the last post was from my good friend shaunF and that was in July 2016 ha.

What could be done to better this section to as there is quite a lot of starlets in Scotland and we arnt the closest to most of the guys down south for a starlet meet. I would like to get a Scottish starlet meet setup or even a meet and drive and if it were to be good we could even maybe get some of the boys from down south to meet us in the middle for one big meet even once a year. I have always wanted to do a cars n coffee meet were u meet up early in the morning and get a chat/catch up and then go a planed route for a drive.

Just trying to get some input as I feel like no one wants to travel in there car to anything any more.

What's your input guys?

Hi guys. Quick question can anyone tell me when my block is top dead centre should my outside pistons 1 and 4 be at the top of the block or is it 2 and 3 pistons that are the top? Totally went out my head and now am in doubt.

Can someone run it by me what I have to do? As I'm not to sure the 4.95 is for the stand pass I take it and I still need a ticket to get in and do I get them down there? Second time goin so not to sure what the drill is.

As above has anyone got a decent crankshaft that doesn't need regrinding and straight just built one of my engines and went to turn it over and it's locking up 3/4's of the way round.

Just thought a would update this to as it's been a while. Sorn'd the car at the start of the month. Got plans for it now. Had a bit of a knock from the bottom end. Either that or a cam rattle just can't work it out, that and the idle problem I have. Goin to take the engine out and save pennies to forge and td04. Got some goodies on the car I can sell on for funds plus the engine when it's had a bottom end rebuild if need be!!!! 👍

Cheers mate. Just need to get them on the car. Took my car off the road for now as it has a slight knock so next time it's out a should have them on the car. Wrapping them in semi slicks too!!!! 👍

So as u's know I already have a quadlight gt witch is my own but I bought a 1992 squarelamp last year with bottom end failure. I bought and have been buildin this car with intention to sell on once finished.

I started stripping this car down and done the big end bearing kit and polished it out my self and thought it would be kl, it was not kl and within a wk of it running it had spat the new bearing out and started knocking again so I lost interest "basicly gutted" and left it for a while before stripping the engine out it again to begin replacing the crank, crankshaft seals,conrod and bottom end bearing kit just to make sure it doesn't do a repeat and wasn't leaking.

This was the engine back in when I had done the work the first time round!!!!

Av lost loads a pics from the start when I first done the engine work, painted the box and sump n Shit. Anyway after just a wk here's a pic of the engine on its way back out and a stripped out rear full a Shit haha.

Basicly the car turned into be a shed for parts for the winter months and never got round to doing anything to it till I got my unit just because I was working on other people's cars and couldn't be Fucked lien under a car in the cold. Even when I got the unit and got it up there I had work to do to do on tidgy's glanza for him.

Inbetween I started stripping it and decided to go for basic build for someone else to work on when sold so I went for making everything else hassle free on the car for the nxt to work on getting power from it and not having to tidy everything else at the same time so started inside the car building a false floor and side panels. The car has a half cage to so that's gettin painted. Floor and panels will have carpet covering it to within door in the tyre well for storage. 👍.

Started building the frame work for the false floor and working the cage into it.

All done and panels on.... Just need carpet now...

Aw Yeh!!! 👍 as a said there rare wheels man. Hardly ever see them in splits Usualy just one piece.

Here's my wheels. Not yet on but stunnin.

Rays engineering 2 piece split rims. Rare as they come think Av only ever seen one more set and they were on eBay for sale. All centre caps present to. 👍
