Is that the green plug on the thermastat housing ?

I noticed my heaters were not getting very warm so I flushed the heater pipes and fit a new thermastat, the temp gauge is just under half when hot and won't go any higher and the fan never comes on, checked the fan and wiring and it's fine, all hoses are hot bottom rad hose slightly cooler than top, heater is blowing warmer now since new thermastat but why no matter how long you leave it running it won't bring fan on? Any ideas.

My son made them at work, first set he made were 3 times too big he did them in inches instead of cm!

I like em front ends a bit plain, used to have 6 20/20's on the front of my cortina back in the 80's, might put another 2 on yet!

Just added an induction filter, incorporated the air temp sensor into the filter using the gromit from the standard air box, and made a cold air feed.

Done a few bits, fit some spotlights, made a splitter from a mk5 polo bumper trim and fit some new rear speakers.

im after a nice sounding back box for my sr as the tte one is long gone and just has a biffo one on, would like a gen tte one but there like hens teeth!

Took the pollen filter out to clean it came out in 2 parts, didn't take much notice how it came out, when I put it back it just fell in and I can't see or feel it now, how do I get it out? Cheers ste

Ye they needed minimal work, 4 coats of silver and 4 coats of lacquer look right enough for a DIY job, car is very clean and straight just needs bumpers painting scuffed here and there.

Thought I would start a thread on my sr as I have done some work on it since I bought it last week. Sold my fabia vrs se and my mk2 escort estate to free up some cash for house move so bought this as I have always liked the look of them. So what I have done so far: Oil&filter Fuel filter Air filter Plugs 2x tyres Full buff and polish Refurbed all alloys New wheel nuts and lockers New speedline centre cap badges Fully undersealed Painted brakes Timing belt kit(not fit yet) New number plates My son is reproducing the decals so should brighten it up as the old ones have faded on the rear quarters and boot and bonnet ones are missing. Drives like a dream but wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding! Here's some pics:

it came in px at a honda dealer in sheffield last owner was from north east.

Any graphic design company will make one up for you will ask my son he's doing my st decals for me but might be a while as he's busy and his polo has gone bang!

Hi all thanks for the comments, I chose the starlet because I always wanted an sr lads at work think I'm mad but I like how it drives. The reason I am swapping from my vrs is I have my house up for sale and need to free some cash up, sold my concourse mk2 escort estate too but kept my motorbike. Just serviced it tonight air,fuel oil filters plugs and bought a timing belt kit and ordered 2 tyres, clutch is quit high but wil last a fair while yet. I will leave the sticker in the back window seen as they seem to be popular! Took the pollen filter out and cleaned it for now but when I put it back in the fist one fell in and I can't find it now! now then, just bought this white sr to replace my fabia vrs se, always wanted one and its a tidy little thing done 80,000, just needs a good buff and some new decals, rung toyota and they have been discontinued so my son is making some for me as he's a graphic designer. going to give it a full service and cambelt better bulbs and a custom made exhaust as i think the backbox is not the tte original. i have a private plate which by luck has some relevance R5 TTE. hope to gain some good advice and ideas from you lads. cheers ste fabia for sale by the way!
