Damienx13 Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Can anyone help me here. I have a forged glanza running 305bhp. The exhaust on the car is to loud for my liking and I have asked someone about either adding a back box or changing the whole system completely and they said I'd have to get the car mapped again if I did. Is this 100% true? I understand how it can mess with flow and back pressure just need a little help as I don't know what to believeAny help would be great. Thanks Quote
akyakapotter Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Yes you will need to take it back to your mapper to tweak the map to suit the new exhaust Quote
Damienx13 Posted April 15, 2016 Author Posted April 15, 2016 Can I get it tweaked anywhere as where the car was mapped is 5 hours away ? Quote
akyakapotter Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Nope 98% sure the map will be password protected by the tuner. Quote
Damienx13 Posted April 15, 2016 Author Posted April 15, 2016 (edited) Ok. Thanks for your help Edited April 15, 2016 by Damienx13 Quote
AdamB Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 You'll be able to change the backbox without needing the map tweaked, however if you change the mid pipe diameter or shape that will require some fiddling with the calibration. Quote
Damienx13 Posted April 16, 2016 Author Posted April 16, 2016 I haven't got a back box. I wanted to add one due to the noise. Quote
AdamB Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 What exhaust is on it now then? Just add a backbox Quote
