Engine light

When driving my car with a little more boot, the engine management light comes on then when i turn the vehicle off and on again it goes away again. Recently started doing it when i fitted a new intercooler, but cant see how this would cause the light. Any help appreciated! Thanks in advance

Bridge te1 and e1 in the diagnostics port then turn the ignition to on. Count the flashes and it should give a number.

Short pause

Long pause

That will be 31 for instance

Probably havent been wiped since the previous engine though. Im assuming 34 is cause my intercoolers too small what you reckon?

It should have reset when the battery was disconnected.

Does the car hold back when the light comes on?

Just had another look at 12 could be an rpm signal issue.

Someone has fully butchered my engine wireing loom think im just going to take it to an auto electrician

Just get a new loom and swap it out for a good one

Will have to be a summer job as ill be up north for work, and dont know anyone up them ways to help me out
