christiandersen
Hello Starlet-owners,I recently bought myself an acceptable example of a Starlet.I've got a tiny but pretty annoying problem with it.- The preowner installed speakers in the back, and made a few wiring with the an older Sony-radio, no probs!I wanted to change to a newer radio I had from another car (Pioneer), but now, It won't start the radio, even with the Sony-radio.Checked the fuse, but seems fine, and tried swapped the fuse with another, but still no change, seems fine. When I start the car, the radio would normally go on, It don't. - If I connect the radio, the clock disables(?). If I changed the day-light and turn it over to 'night-light', the clock disappears(?). What-the-h*ll..Help? :-((

Pete_A
Could just be a bad earth?
christiandersen
Pete_A @ No clue. Could be perm-failure as earth-failure.. Have to dive deeper into the wiring. If I find the solution, I'll reply back.
glanzanut22
Use a voltage tester to check your actually receiving a switched and permanent live at the stereo loom. Then go from there 👍
