Idrees
I found that my 'DOME' fuse (under the bonnet) was fused so I tried a new one, but it blew straight away.I've tried to fit a new one several times but as soon as the fuse touches where it is supposed to fit it makes a spark and a fizzing sound. Basically the fuse is getting fried within a second of fitting it.What could be the problem?
Starletraje
Shorting out somewhere in the circuit, or wrong sized wire could cause it.

Starletraje
NP. whole host of things can cause a problem like this. and i noticed that yours doesn't exactly have a good electrical reputation.
Idrees
I tried both ways. With the battery disconnected and while it was disconnected too. When I did all the wiring it was obviously disconnected (well most of the time!)I've checked and there is no short circuit to be found and all the wiring used is correct which is from another Starlet.
